Besides the obvious response, lol!

I am a little dizzy at times, lightheaded alot of the time and wondering if this is caused by motion sickness??

I did look out the window during a good portion of the flight and I'm wondering if that is what is causing this...any suggestions?

BTW--hope y'all don't mine me posting here--the resorts board is my usual hang-out!

Of course we don;t mind you posting here :) I hope you post more often.

Unfortunately, I don't have a clue as to why you might still be dizzy. Do you have a patient advisory nurse that you can call?

Maybe others will have some thoughts.

oops, I really am dizzy, lol!

Forgot to add that my dr's office is closed for the day and won't be open till tomorrow morning. I'm not so dizzy that I can't stand but I do feel lightheaded alot when I travel by plane, it just never lasted this long.

Ummmm, because you're blonde? :teeth:

Kidding, go to a doctor or the ER and find out wazzup. Prolly an imbalance in your ears or something like that.

Hmmm, good answer!

But since I'm a brunette I guess that's not the reason why....

Do you have any sinus trouble? If you have sinus blockage then flying can make it worse, causing an imbalance in your inner ear (as JP suggested). When I flew to FL last time, I was having trouble before I left with sinuses (due to a lingering cold). It took about 5 days for my ears to become mostly unplugged. I was very wobbly until 5 days later and it was especially noticable the first 2 or 3 days. I hope it goes away soon for you.

I think you should make an appointment.

We went to Florida in February, I was light-headed the whole 10 days we were there, the flight home finished me off. Couldn't hear for a week. My problem was allergies. I built up fluid in my ears and sinus. It took 20 days on medication before I started feeing better.

Flying can throw off your inner ear balance very easily, especially if you are just getting over a cold or just coming down with one. I'd wait a day or so more to see if it goes away on it's own and if it doesn't I'd call your Dr. I don't think a trip to the ER would get you anything but a copay and a long wait, at least at this point.

This happened to me before too, it was my sinuses. Go to the doctor soon it takes some time to heal.

Get well soon:D

You could also be dehydrated. Drinks lots of fluids. Couldn't hurt!

Thanks for the advice everyone!

Still dizzy & lightheaded today so I am calling the doctor to see what's up.

Thanks again! :)

I have severe motion sickness and always take dramamine prior to any travel. I do know that a few times when I have not taken it I have felt slightly sick for DAYS after the fact. Most people don't understand this. They think as soon as you get off the plane, ride, or whatever you instantly feel better. Some people who have never had motion sickness problems before do start having it as they get older. I would suggest take some dramamine and take a nap (it will make you drowsy.) It could be something like sinus, so go see the doctor if you feel the need, but I would try dramamine first if it were me!!!

Just to follow-up, thanks for the advice everyone! I saw my doc yesterday and he said I have an inner ear inbalance--labryinthitis--and prescribed meclizine to help. Since it makes me tired I'll probably only take it at bedtime or something and see how it goes.

I appreciate all the advice and info though! :)
