Why am I so concerned?

I feel like I haven't set aside enough days for DLR, I know I am being silly. We are spending 2 1/2 days in SF then fly into LAX in the evening, arriving at 5pm. We then have the next 5 full days and then our last day will be about a half day to do whatever before we head home. Last year our first time at DLR we stayed for 9 days, one day we went to LA and another we went to Legoland. Please tell me this will be plenty of time for us newer DLR guests. It is myself and 2 children, then 13 and 7. :confused3

5 days at DLR?? PLENTY of time I'd think to do it all then some. We usually only stay 3-4 days and leave feeling like we did it all and then..wanting to come back soon. :)

Having 5 full days in the parks should be plenty of time to do what you want to do. We have never stayed for 5 days, usually 3 or 4. If you are concerned about getting everything in, make the most of your days - get to the park before opening, use fastpass, study the event guide/parade guide so that you don't miss anything - plan, plan, plan.

You'll be fine!

5 days WOW!!!! I haven't even gotten to do 5 days at WDW straight! hahah!

Go and have fun dont stress it or it will all be over sooner then you will want. You will get to see and do everything!

I find 5 days to be perfect. Of course 6 is always better but you should be able to see everything and even go back for a few favorites with 5 days. :goodvibes

5 days is good.....but I agree with trodrigue, I can never have enough (or too much) time at DL! Enjoy your 5 days!!

5 days in may?!?!

i did 5 days once.. honestly, i actually got kinda bored on day 4.

to me, in off peak, the ideal length is 3 days. 2 in DL, 1 in DCA.

unless you plan on taking a whole lot of breaks.

Five days at DLR... You are on fire!

What exactly were you worrying about??

Enjoy.

When I was a kid in the 80s we only ever did 3 full days per trip (in the middle of Summer no less) and that was always the perfect ammount of time for my parents and I. Not so short that we couldn't ride everything we wanted and not too long as to desensitize you to the magic.

Since the addition of DCA (and switching into the parent role myself), I'm now of the opinion that 5 days makes a great trip for the same reasons as above.

I know how you feel! We have been AP's for years and go often, but everytime I am planning a trip I am always making sure I have enough Disney Days! We are leaving on Friday for an 8 day trip and I have 6 days for DLR! Only 2 days somewhere else! Our friends are practically begging us to go to Magic Mountain with them and I keep saying Noooooo! Now they want to take my children and not me! (I still said Nooooo!) I like to just be able to "be" at the DLR, whether it means a full day at the park, short day, DTD, etc.... No rushing around! Short trips always make me long for more! I think you will feel great with 5 days, though! You definately have plenty of time to "smell the roses"!

During peak time 5 days is just right for us. Off peak 3-4 days works for us. So yes, in May, I'd say 5 days is plenty!

We did 5 days in June one year and rode everything, a few times over! By the last day we actually all felt tired out. So for us 3-4 days works.

5 Days is perfect! :) I would say you can see the whole of DL in 3 or 4 days, but you have that extra time to go back on your favorites.

No worries. 5 FULL days is more than enough. I get bored after about 2. I guess it would depend on crowd levels but on quite days it's P-L-E-N-T-Y-!
I would suggest that 2 1/2 days in SF isn't enough.
have fun

Lets see, I took my son YEARS ago in the peak of summer for 5 days. We went in the morning, went to our hotel to swim in the afternoons and went back to the parks after dinner. We saw and did EVERYTHING. It was awesome to take it nice and slow as the heat during the day was incredible for that week. Loved that trip.

We had 4 days this past December and did everything that we usually skip on shorter trips. . .and still managed to see and do everything. And I went back to the hotel every afternoon for a siesta (though my teen and his friend did not).

There are never enough days to be at Disney!! The more the better!! After 5 rides on POTC I finally got a boat with the correct timing, so I could hear all the ride!! It was glorious!! Other times my boat has been so out of sync I can't hear anything and the repeat starts as we leave the area.

Thank you all for your replies. I would love to stay longer in the area and see more of CA, but work and money hinder that. :rolleyes1 I would love to stay longer in SF, we won't have a car and it was kind of a last minute add on because my daughter wanted to go, so I tried to stay close to the attractions we know of and want to do. The more we go out there the more I learn and the more I want to see, it is costly for us coming from PA to go out there though. I am getting excited the closer it gets. Thanks again!
