Why Am I Always So Clueless???

Ok...count me in on the Clueless Club. I never seem to know what's going on. I just skim through the threads and read only the ones that interest me. I guess I always miss the ones that cause problems.

Dang it!!! I was reading that thread this morning and only got to the 2nd page and had to get off the computer at work (you know I gotta do a little work at work) and come back to read the rest and its gone.

It is the same way for me, I am completely clueless. I think I even read the first page or two, but I don't remember anything that bad. We all have our opinions I guess and I never take anything personal on the boards.

The thread in question was locked by me. My take on it is that it was a very stressful and emotional subject; something said was taken wrong, and then it just snowballed from there. I PMed the original people and I will say for the record that they were cooperative- and I also asked posted a friendly reminder to everyone in general to please back up and respect everyone's opinions. That was ignored so I posted a sterner one, and then when that was ignored I locked the thread.

It was not a huge deal; just an understandable stituation considering the subject. . . I personally don't think anything was that exciting, or anything was said that needs to cause any continuing hard feelings.

I also want to say that I asked Blodnie to edit some of her comments, but she had signed off for the night before seeing my PM. She did go back on the locked thread this morning and try and do so, but couldn't because it was locked. That was my fault because I didn't realize that someone couldn't edit once a thread was lcoked, and in fact, I tried to edit a few things and couldn't. Because of that, the whole thread was moved to the recycle bin.

Bottom line is that there are times when everyone losses their temper. . lord knows I have at times. . . and sometimes a situation get to where locking a thread is the best way to difuse it. But carrying on a subject that has been put to rest is unnecessary, and I would hope everyone would cut people some slack and let it go. .

Last night was upsetting, I understand that. . but I'm trying to watxch the World Series here, so please everyone chill!!

I have been attacked by a couple of people (at least one of them in this thread) but if you just keep playing nice they will leave you alone and try to rile someone else up.

I don't know the situation of everyone on the DIS. I don't know what makes them tick, I don't know who they REALLY are. What I do know is it's fun to come here and share ideas, good times, and bad times. I for one would never ask for *pixie dust* but that is just me. I wouldn't do it in real life and I won't on the DIS.

As for OVER THERE, again, I am clueless, and choose to stay that way. I do understand, however, that getting attacked over and over would get tiresome in a hurry.

The problem when a complete thread is put in the recycled bin, is there continues to be veiled references to it.

"The Huge deal" to me was that certain opinions were criticized simply because of "who" made them,and that is what DOES cause hard feelings to remain.....and that IS a "huge deal",to me.
