Ok.
Air Transat just cancelled my flight to Orlando (MCO) for our Sept. trip.......
Need opinions on SkySErvice re: service, delays, ontime etc....
Plus which terminal do the fly from???

I can't remember which terminal.

They played a full movie but did not get to see the ending.

Flight back was a stopover in Tampa which was delayed since they were waiting for a certain passanger but they did not show up?

I would rate them better than Air Transat but don't forget they are a charter also!

So Air Transat Strikes Again!

I have flown Skyservice quite a few times to Vegas and loved them. We where late leaving once only because of a really bad thunderstorm.

Food was fine, attendants where great.

Have you thought of flying out of Buffalo, it is only costing $780.00 Canadian for my family of 4 to Fly out of Buffalo in mid Sept.

Kim

We were going to book Skyservice for Oct-the flight down was direct the flight back was a stopover in St. Petes.

Did they mention why your flight was cancelled?

How come AT canceled your flights?

I haven't flown Skyservice or any other charter before ... I've heard about too many things that can go wrong with charters so it's made me nervous.

I recently received an e-mail from Air Canada about flights from Toronto to Orlando starting at $79... it might be worth looking into. :p

Why did they cancel your flight, Suzanne? I'm supposed to fly out on Air Transat in a couple of weeks. I haven't received my tickets yet (they said I would, 2 weeks before my flight), but now I'm a little concerned.....

I have flown Skyservice once, but it was a while ago, and I don't remember anything of any significance about the flight or service.

ok.... I'm supposed to be flying out with air transat on Oct 8th.... did they say WHY they cancelled the flight??

A tad worried here!!

I flew Skyservice on my June Orlando trip and this flight was much better than all the other times I have flown with Skyservice. However, on our flight home we were supposed to leave at 10:00 but our flight got delayed till 12:00 and we had to stop in St. Pete's first.
I am flying with Air Transat this time in September and I'm a little worried now. We have never had a problem with Air Transat though and would rather fly them than Syservice.
I wonder why they cancelled your flight??

I didn't mean to worry you all but the only reason they told me was "the flight was cancelled due to unforeseen reasons". Maybe they are overbooked somewhere else and need the plane.... or maybe it just didn't have enough bookings. They did offer us the day before and the day after departures though!!!! Mabe they are no longer flying to orlando on Thursdays!!!
We booked Skyservice though. Air Canada wanted $998.00 and we are only going for the weekend!!!! I wish West Jet was flying sooner!!!

We flew with Skyservice on our Orlando trip in March 2003 and NEVER again!..... We had a good flight down. However while we were there, we were told that our direct flight home was now changed to a stop over in Fort Lauderdale. Not only that....we were suppose to leave at 10:00 a.m. and the depart time was changed to 7:30 p.m. Our rental car had to be back at the airport at 11:00 a.m., so we basically spent a whole day at the airport trying to entertain two young children. Once we got on the airplane, there were many irate customers. .......This year (April 2004), we flew with Air Canada to Orlando and we received excellent service. I would definitely fly with them again.:)

Just wanted to mention that I just came back from Mexico on Saturday and loved our Skyservice flights! Our flight from Toronto to Cancun left right on time. The flight back was delayed by 25 minutes (because of a delay in Toronto) but they made up the time and we arrived in Toronto only 5 minutes later than scheduled. Service was excellent and the food was pretty good. The movies made the flight go much faster (3 hours and 45 minutes). Also no lineups either going or coming when checking in.

The big plus I found over Air Canada was that the air was much fresher than what I've experienced on Air Canada! I found I was a lot less tired after getting off the plane and I think this was a primary reason why.

I was a little leery about taking a charter because I've always flown Air Canada, but I much preferred the Skyservice flights.

I booked a SkyService flight through Signature Vacations. It was to be a non-stop both ways and now they have changed it to a stop over in Fort Lauderdale. So now we're looking at 5 hours travelling time without being able to get off the plane! Oh well, at least the return flight is still non-stop and actually leaves a few hours later (time for a quick dip in the pool!)

When I checked into Skyservice it was direct from toronto to orlando but stopped in St Petes on the way back. Didn't make sense to me-you're back tracking aren't you?
