Whose bright idea was this? The sparkly mickey confetti all over the ground at MK?

My issue isn't the germs, or the "kids might eat it" - mine is the eco footprint of the additional trash. Not that Disney has a small eco footprint to start with, but I suspect that confetti will still be identifable in a landfill when Wall-E scoops it up. I don't think that is worth the incremental increase in "magic."

At a time where I'm bringing in reusable shopping bags, forgoing plastic veggie bags as much as I can, choosing products in less packaging, trying to compost my food waste....this sort of indiscriminate litter ticks me off - from a company that frankly - claims to know better.

The child is almost 3 and they are going to put confetti in their mouth? Really?

My dd is 5 and puts stuff in her mouth all the time despite being told over and over and over...and over..not to. I feel like a broken record. It drives me nuts..but she still wants to put stuff in her mouth all the time. I'm still trying to get her to stop sucking her thumb. We have made great progress on that in the last several months though..she now does it only at night.

DD somehow ended up with the confetti in her shoes the last time we went to MK! I don't quite know how she managed that but either way it was pretty cute. I tend to collect it myself to use on my scrap booking projects! :wizard:
