Whose been to Freeport lately?

Our 4 night cruise will take us to both Nassau and Freeport this time around - any recommendations/suggestions or comments about Freeport.
And if you say it's just like Nassau, I'll understand and plan on staying in the spa for the day!

Stay on the ship, Nothing to see

We did the Lucayan beach day in Freeport and loved it....if we hadn't done that then I would have just stayed on the ship, didn't look like much else to see there but I would never get off the ship in Nassau again, I hate that place!

Thanks for the info - I "assumed" it was going to be like Nassau.
Is there any place within walking distance to shop? Not that I am into this short of thing, but every once in a while my DS wants to get off the boat just to see what things look like. From what I can find out, it's a taxi ride to town - ?

There is very little available near the ship. You'd want to take a taxi or a bus to the International Bazaar area if you wanted to do some shopping.
