But now that I have your attention.....I have a question (again).



When you rent points, does the person who you rent from own your reservation like a TA or is the renter able to call and ask questions about it and make a request for your room (simple like 5th floor)?


Also, when you rent points against DVC, does Disney mail a package like they do when you book a package through CRO or do you just have to assume that everything is in order, paid off by the owner and in their system properly?

The person you rent from (owner) controls the reservation. The owner has to call Member Services to add the dining plan, ME, add room requests, etc. The renter cannot call member services directly. I rented points for my trip this week and the owner called Member Services with me on the phone so I could add my own room requests. They mailed the confirmation letter to the owner for me and he mailed it to me. The ME luggage tags & booklet came directly to me though.

If you don't own the points that are used to make the reservation, you can't do anything but check in.

Excellent. That is what I assumed, but wanted to double-check. The person I am getting points from is actually a friend a I trust her, but still like to have my ducks in row!

I thank you for the quick response. I know I can ask my friend, but I have been asking her so many questions and I don't want to make her crazy. I normally call CRO and book, but she is making me an offer I cannot refuse and this is all new territory for me.

I am so excited about my first stay at AKV.
