Who's the nicest character you've met?

I have to say that the nicest character we have ever met has been the Queen of Hearts. We met her when they used to do Character Caravan and she was wonderful!! Took time with the kids, got playful with the adults. When I was looking for dh over the sea of people she waved me down and pointed in his direction. Saw her later in the day at MK, and she waved at dd like they were old friends.

The nicest one we met was Snow White in Epcot. She was so nice to my daughter. We were the last to see SW before she went backstage. We were watching her and just before she exited she turned around and waved to DD saying "bye Laura". Snow White will forever have a special place in my heart because of that moment!

Well,the very nicest time we had with a character was way back in 1974 when my little bro was 1. Mickey was being flooded with kids all around him and there was no way my parents were going to go near the crowd with a little baby. A cast member came up to my parents whispered something to my Mom and we went to the back of the castle. We waited a few minutes and Mickey came out for a private audience with us! It was only like ten minutes but to us it was like the most magical experience ever. Don't know how they did it but they made a few minutes a life long memory for us.

Recently, the nicest character would have to be is Pluto. We were with a very loud obnoxious group with very rude children. There was one little girl who was very well behaved and shy(hiding behind Dad) and Pluto came to her and danced with her and played with her and just went out of his way with her. It was nice to see good behavior rewarded. He didn't ignore the other children just paid more attention to the good kid.

The Fairy Godmother I really wanted my picture with her and the lighting in the castle was bad at that time, she took me outside and made sure we got a perfect picture spot. I was so happy.

They were all so great! But my personal favorites were Wendy from Peter Pan after our family magic tour - she was VERY real. We went to Mickey's Philharmonic with her and my dd got to sit RIGHT next to her. Before we went in she played "Wendy Says" with us. Then we go in and she tells us all to say , "hi tink!" when Tinkerbell comes on. She then sits crosslegged on her chair and says, "I just love to sing along with the songs, don't you? Let's all sing along!" Throughout the film she would yell out, "Hi Peter! I miss you" or "Jasmine, isn't she the nicest". Stuff like that. It was purely - magical.

The second was Belle. We were at Cinderella's Royal Table for breakfast. When Belle came up I told my dd's why she was my favorite - she chose a man for character instead of looks, she reads, she was kind, etc. Belle says, "Oh, that is so kind of you to say those things about me!" and other things that were as if she were really Belle.

Ariel at PSB, who just kept giggling and telling DD how adorable she was. She was just so sweet. Also Belle at PSB was great. DD was wearing Belle's formal yellow dress, and Belle was wearing her regular blue/white dress. She kept joking with DD that she had been looking all over for her yellow dress. DD thought it was pretty funny.

We haven't had much experience with characters that much yet, since DD is a bit hesitant and when we do find them either there is a long line, or the line has been closed off. But I hope to come across more nice characters in the future!

i have onyl had 1 bad character experience it was in 1988 with pluto at the WS in epcot

Don't flame me, but our best character interactions were at DL by far! Cinderella in 2001 celebrating my daughter's 8th birthday. She was so sweet and took so much time with her. Belle and the Beast on the same trip were wonderful. And again in 2003, Aladdin at the breakfast at Goofy's Kitchen was hilarious.
We're going to WDW next month so maybe we'll have some even better interactions!

We had so much fun with the characters! I would say Chip and Dale were a big hit with us at Chef Mickey's. They played quite a bit with the kids. The kids loved it!!! And Belle at CRT. I had made my daughter a homemade autograph book and Belle sat with her looking through it. Madi loved it!!

There was a lot of them, but the ones that stick out most was Peter Pan - he took my dd by the hand and even though there was a long line of other people waiting, he was asking my daughter all these questions, at one point she was walking away, then he started asking her more question - he was REALLY in character. Another was the fairy godmother at CRT. She also spent a good amount of time w/dd. I've never really had a "bad" character experience, a little rushed, but never bad.

Chip & Dale at Garden Grill. We were on our Disneymoon. Dale saw my wedding ring and pretended to faint. He left the table and about 3 mintues later came back and had made me a "Bigger" ring out of a paper towel it was amazing. He slipped it onto my finger and was trying to get me out of the booth when Chip comes along w/ an even bigger ring. It was so funny to see the 2 of them fighting over which one would get me. They looked at my "new" DH like come on man fight for her. And of course he played along. It was just so funny. They pretended to put salt and pepper in my DH soda and feed him w/ the serving utensils getting potatoes all over his face. We were lucky there were only about 5 other tables there at the time so they kept coming back and playing w/ us. Until Mickey came over and took me! But in the end my DH won my heart! ( Plus the BIG ring he gave me was REAL!!!Right Ladies!LOL!)

Wendy and Peter Pan were so friendly with the kids. They were outside the Pirates of the Carribean w/ Capt Hook. They asked the kids where they were from, Did they fly like Peter, Or Drive like Her Mom and Dad did?
They both had so much to say to the kids, it was so nice to actually see them interacting with the kids.

Our second favorite was Pocahontas Ryan (3) ran up to her and gave her a huge hug and told her that he loved her , it was so sweet! He also asked where Jon SMith was and she said he had to sail away for the day. It was great !

I have two favorites. A couple of years ago at Crystal Palace, Tigger "said" he loved my 11 and 14 yr old daughters (by pointing and drawing a heart on his chest). He then linked arms with them and walked them around the restaurant and "introduced" them to other tables. This totally disarmed the 14 year old who was trying very hard to be cool and grown up.

My other favorite was a few years back with Cruella Deville on the street at MGM where Millionare is held. When my youngest asked for an autograph, she linked arms with her and asked her to walk with her. But first she instructed her to put her shoulders back, chin up and show lots of teeth and attitude! They then strutted the entire length of the street this way.

Goofy at Animal Kingdom was great with my kids. I thought my shy DS2 would be terrified of this huge character, but Goofy got down on his level and rubbed his ears on his face and kept hugging him and chasing him for another hug. DS talked about Goofy the rest of the trip. Goofy is now his favorite Disney character.

The princesses were all wonderful with DD4. She completely believed they were real.

Snow White in Epcot was so friendly when we were there in 2004. She chatted with DH about us being on our honeymoon and we took a few photos with her.

I have to say that Chip and Dale are always wonderful!!!!!! Affectionate, great joksters. They are fun to be around--their happiness is contagious. We always look forward to seeing them. I'm glad they're are available in so many locations.

Chip and Dale at MGM. My son had just bought a bottle of soda when we saw all of the characters coming out. So being so close, we were one of the first people in line. Dale then proceded to take my son's soda and turned to the side and started shaking it up. When I saw this, I started to laugh. (I wanted to be mad, with how much a soda costs, but how could I?) When my son realized what was going on, he tried to grab the soda away. Dale then threw the soda to Chip and Chip started shaking it up. They played keep away with the soda for a good 10 minutes. I wish I would have gotten pictures, but I was actually crying by the end from laughing so hard.

I would have to say Snow White in Epcot. My daughter went up to her and told her that she really liked her movie a lot and Snow White just hugged her and said, Nobody has told her that before! My daughter was thrilled

My two favorites were:

Peter Pan at MK: Even though we were one family in hundreds that he sees everyday, he made our few minutes feel special. He asked DS about the rides he'd been on (PP was his favorite and he made sure he told Peter that) and then he and Peter got into a taunting match with Hook and Smee. It was priceless. DS can't wait to go back and see him in June.

Chip and Dale at AK(Pizzafari): There must be a character break area somewhere around Pizzafari because we were sitting down in the back room (can't remember the theme/name right now) where we were the only family eating. It was still early, but we were having an early dinner, so we did lunch around 11 to beat the crowds. We heard this pounding at the window, and it was Chip and Dale. We had seen Chip and Dale at every other park so far on the trip, and DS got the hugest kick out of them. When he saw them waving, he got so excited and shouted "Mom, look, they remember me!!". Such an awwww moment. Chip and Dale stood at the window a good 5 minutes making faces at DS and generally goofing around. It was absolutely Disney Magic!!
