hmm i never thought of myself as a geek but in that case if the shoe fits... although i thought that was ozzie osbourn...and maybe a bat...
wiki, that well know authority on all things sacred , says it's "a peculiar or otherwise odd person" which might very well fit me but then goes on to mention esp involved intellectually, with electonics etc which leaves me out
And while checking my web host logs, I found a redirect comes from an unusual address and found your contest site, so I got a chance to peek "behind the curtain" (don't worry, I didn't try to mess with anything and won't tell where it was)... what does that make me? Not a geek. Just a curious, fairly IT-savvy guy.
I vote for boB. I may have an biased view since I work with him but of all the "geeks" in my engineerings jobs I've come into contact with, boB takes the cake. Thats a good thing though. He's got a speaker cabinets made from concrete sonot tubes for goodness sake and it will make your heart stop. He's got my vote.
with my vest and gear I could give Mark and his setup a run for the money when it comes to geekiness, however after reading several of his tutorials, involving math etc...
I humbly bow before the master Geek
I wouldn't want to offend anyone who wouldn't embrace the title, so I checked with Mark to make sure he was ok with being voted in, and he replied that "he'd consider it an honor". So...
Congratulations to MarkBarbieri,
The Dis Photography Board's Favorite Geek!
In honor of Mark's win, I'm delighted to re-post a few of the Tutorials that catapulted him to this honor by his fellow photography geeks.

Damn confusing isn't it? Thats what my apps look like when they are just for me. Lots of input and no labels. I still need to make some use of the EXIF data that's being pulled.
