We are on our 25th (or so) straight day of rain out here! I don't usually mind rain, but this is starting to get on my nerves! At least we're close to a record for consecutive rain days...I think the record will fall on Sunday. So at least we'll have something to show for all this rain!

Soooo looking forward to some sun and warmth! Can't wait!

Just when I decide to give in and gripe about the rain, the sun comes out! We hardly recognized that bright light in the sky! Yesterday was miserable and pouring rain, but today has been dry and sunny!

After all this rain we've had this month, we had *better* break that record! There might be a few more showers this evening to keep our streak alive!

So thanks for sending some sun our way, everyone!

I remember getting a little down from the rain but always felt better after a walk in it.

Well, it was beautiful and sunny on Saturday (a few sprinkles in the morning), and then dry yesterday, so we ended up not even breaking the record for consecutive rainfall days! If it had rained yesterday we'd have made it.

Today is pouring rain again...I know, at least I don't have to shovel it! After spending many years on the prairies, I appreciated the rain here in the winter...until this year. I find myself spending more and more time poring over these boards.

The Executel was fine for what it was...the beds were OK, the rooms were decent. The pool was too cold for DD when we were last there (2 years ago), and the hall was a bit noisy at night. But, as I said, it's an OK place if you just want somewhere to sleep before your flight.

This time we're staying at a Marriott closer to the mall, but still close to the airport (free shuttle), and we got a rate of $99 which includes 10 days of parking. We just wanted to try something a bit nicer this time around.
