I keep saying the same thing over and over again today - ONLY 24 DAYS TO GO!!!

I've been having a hard time concentrating on work since we hit the 30 day mark!! I spend WAY too much time on this board... looking at resort stuff... look at dining stuff.... looking at tips.... my new one is looking at stuff from the DISigners!!! I make packing lists, ride lists, park lists, you name it I'm making lists!!!!!!

Thankfully I'm self employed, but I swear I'm not getting any work done!!!!!!
If I worked for someone else I'd probably be fired!!!

Anyone else having a hard time concentrating on work???

Lol

Right there with ya. We still have 5 weeks to go, and I have to find stuff to do to keep me busy or else I'm on Dis all dayreading TR's, tips, and other stuff. :P

Totally! It doesn't help that I'm sitting here with my iPod next to me, playing home movies of past trips. I keep getting distracted by all of the things that aren't there anymore (Skyway, the Seacabs in Seabase Alpha, Mr. Toad, the double-decker buses in Epcot, etc.) Thankfully I kinda do my own thing all day long (well, even when I'm NOT all WDW-obsessed like now... ), so everybody generally leaves me alone.

Just a random observation, but I'm still shocked at how empty the park was in Nov. 2001! (that's the video I'm watching now)

I am so there! We leave on Friday! I am about to bust I am so excited! Then Disney had to go cal me to make some clarifications and orders for my dd with Celiac for the Luau!!!!!!!
thankfully I am a stay at home mom so it is just house work that isn't getting done! LOL

We leave Saturday and I am so not focused on what I should be at this point. I have a spreadsheet with a countdown timer on it. It has been modified to included the number of weeks, days, minutes and seconds until our trip. This morning I found myself sitting here holding down the update button so that I could literally watch the seconds pass. :surfweb:

At this pace I don't think the weekend will ever get here. :scared: :scared:

We're with you on the home videos! We dug them out this past weekend and spent a day on the couch reliving our trip 9 years ago!!!!

I also dug out the pictures and we've been going through those too!!!

I'm happy to report I did get SOME work done yesterday and SOME today too!!! I'm now trying to reward hard work with time on the DIS boards :surfweb: !!!!

ME!!!! Can't seem to do much except think of the trip - only 3 more days! My whole family is so excited is all we can talk about for weeks now.

Lol. That's what's not getting done around here either...house work. :P I'm a SAHM as well. I spend my mornings vegging and watching TV, then around noon I get on the DIS, and then at 2, I HAVE to pull myself away from the computer to get dishes done and dinner started. :P

32 days till we leave, but only 19 work days:banana:

I definitely am having a hard time concentrating. While on a conference call I was busy looking over my itinerary. Then I got asked my opinion about what was being discussed...not good! What do they expect, I leave in 3 days!

OMG - you guys are cracking me up over here. :rotfl2: The OP had me hysterical because I could have sworn I wrote that post. Here I am lying in bed on the lap top :surfweb: making more lists, reviewing more rides, ordering my customized maps, making more lists, checking restaurants, etc.....! Today at work (and I do work for someone) I did Disney stuff all day! I mean ALL DAY! Nothing like clicking off the Earl of Sandwich website as soon as someone walks by my desk:rolleyes1 ....I feel really guilty about that - but I just can't seem to help myself. Today marks the one month away day and I think it's downhill from here...the next 4 weeks promise to be extremely unproductive as I fill my days with disdreaming.

Okay - confession time - I worked this morning, but couldn't seem to keep it up!! After hubby left for work (he works 2nd shift) it was back on the DIS boards until time for dinner and homework!! Let's see... then we located flip flops and other missing summer gear.... Got the kids off to bed, and back on the dis boards!!

I made some progress though.... I combined multiple lists into one MASTER list :surfweb: (BTW this really is me... laptop and coffee until much tooooo late!)

I have GOT to get some work done tomorrow!!!

Hi all....23 days to go!!! Dec 7-13! I was going great unitl I read allears and found out that the cheerleaders are going to be there the same week!? I was looking forward to less of a crowd and between that and mousefest, I'm trying not to panic :confused3 Anyone else have any more info. I just heard HS closed evening on Dec 10 for cheerleaders/families. Anyone know thier schedule, so we can work around it? How many come? H E L P... and please tell me I'm just over reacting! oh, work...I just can't focus, that's why i'm here.

I cut and pasted this from mousesavers. Don't sweat it, there are ways around it, I'm sure....where are you staying?????
Some less-known events that may affect crowds, park hours and/or traffic at Walt Disney World:

Cheerleeding/Twirl/Dance Competitions - Various dates each year, especially January-March. These usually don't have a lot of impact on the in-park crowds. The issue is that the Value resorts (All-Stars and Pop Century) play host to hordes of girls who can be extremely loud -- so you may want to avoid those resorts during competitions. Some events take place at Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular in Disney's Hollywood Studios, so that attraction might be closed. Some of the competitions and events include UCA/UDA Thanksgiving Day Parade (November 25-28, 2008), College Cheerleading & Dance Team National Championships (January 16-18, 2009), National Dance Team Championship (January 30-February 1, 2009), National High School Cheerleading Championship (February 7-8, 2009), Twirlmania (February 13-16, 2009), Contest of Champions Nationals (February 28-March 1 and March 6-8, 2009), National All Star Cheerleading Championship (March 14-15, 2009), All Star Cheerleading and Dance Worlds (last one was April 24-26, 2009).

Thanks so much. I feel better about it. I still wish there was a way to find out their schedule. I really can't find a place to confirm the info. We're staying at the cabins, so it prob won't be an issue as for as sleeping and getting to/from parks. I was/am just worried about the crowds in the parks.

24 more days to go...yeah!

Hey MickeyMyFavorite....I live in Brentwood - We are neighbors!!!
