Who's Got Snow Today?

Drove down to Glasgow today from home.
Couple of flurries around Perth and Stirling but nothing to much.

Di, What is it like now? There are four families coming us to your neck of the woods and we are all worried we will be snowed in!!! New Year's Eve is due to be milder but we are worried about our drive up tomorrow.

It snowed here in North Devon earlier but it was that pathetic sleety stuff - no settling snow in sight!

It's below freezing and we have been promised more snow overnight but turning to rain by tomorrow afternoon. My BIL and family went home to Yorkshire from our house today and said that by the time they'd got near Center Parcs there was no sign of snow!!! So it should be ok and the main roads are all clear.

It's snowing quite heavily here in Essex at the moment. DH and I have both got Doctors' appointments in an hour - our throats have been so painful over the last couple of days we must need antibiotics. Fingers crossed the children don't get it.

I didn't got snow on Xmas day here, but I did get snow on My mum's bday (28th), the 27th and today! I went outside today and built a snowman called "stumpy" for obvious reasons. He has brussell sproats for eyes, a carrot nose and a hat, scarf and gloves that my cousins grew out of. We also put a leaf in him so it acts as his heart.

I am in now and my hands are numb, and my jeans are soaked. But Stumpy ok, he's loving the snow! I'd post a picture but I don't want to get my camera wet, as the snow that is coming down is starting to melt!

We don't get as much snow as NYC does, but normally when NYC gets a blizzard we get a snow day! It's the first white december that we have had for years, as it normally snows in January.

EDIT: Stumpy the snowman was a very happy soul. He had a corncob pipe and a carrot nose and two eyes made out of Brussell Sproats.

Me and my cousin were singing that in the snow..

Sue - we didn't get more snow but it's been raining a lot and the snow is melting very quickly. I'm sure you'll be fine for your trip to Center Parcs!!
