Who's got new Epcot sphere photos?

Anyone been in Epcot while they were removing Mickey's hand and wand from Spaceship Earth sphere? Surely it can't be done in a couple days.

So please let's see the progress folks.

I know change is good, but that really makes me sort of sad! I was probably in the minority, but I liked the wand and hand - it just said "Disney magic" to me.

So they're really taking it down?? My DW and I both liked the hand and wand too. It was there the first time I was able to take her to Disney and it was there on our honeymoon. So are they just going to leave it plain now or are they planning on putting something in it's place?

I do not know if they plan on it, but I also hope the stars come off. I guess I am just a WDW purist. There have only been three years since I was born that I did not go to WDW and two of those were before EPCOT even opened.

I will be there starting next Friday. I am hoping they get enough gone to get the crane out of there by the end of my trip. Otherwise, I am going to have to brush up on my cloning skills!

I think it was so huge that there may be no place to put it. But might be nice to see it somewhere again in the future.

The crane is gone. Everyone has been removed but the brackets that held the stars.

The star brackets make Spaceship Earth look like it has two-day beard stubble.
