Hello and welcome to our PTR! 
Yes, you are going to get 2 fabulous PTR's right here, all for the price of just one! Myself and JoBird will be writing our PTR's together. Why? Well, because we think it will be fun!
Jodi and I met here on the DIS in early 2007 on a May 2007 planning thread and have been friends ever since. Our May 2007 trips overlapped a few days and we were even at the same resort (POFQ), but unfortunately we never ran into each other on that trip. At the time we lived only about 30 minutes apart (near Pittsburgh), so we did however get to meet up for lunch one day in October 2007. Then sadly her and her family moved far away and we haven't seen each other since. But we do talk just about everyday.
Since then none of our trips have overlapped at all. She usually goes in May and my family & I have gone in different months. When we both began planning for our 2011 trips we joked about how we should make them overlap by accident so that we could meet up. Then it seemed like it might actually happen! I was planning to go around Columbus Day so the kids wouldn't miss that much school. Jo and family were considering October as well. We were determined to make these trips overlap even if it was just by a day! Then I found out that my DS12 has an overnight science field trip during Columbus Day week for 7th grade. DH and I discussed it and considered other weeks when there was a school holiday, but eventually came to the decision that since it will be his first year in Middle School that we are not going to take him out for a week. We know it is going to be a huge transition for him and the make-up work would be so much. Long story short, we decided that since we are lucky enough to not start school until after Labor Day that we are going to go to WDW the very last week of August, into the beginning of September. So I sadly start to tell Jo this and she says last night my family voted to move our trip up to Labor Day week!!!!!!!
Our trips were overlapping by one day!! Another long story short they are now overlapping by 4 days! But we will get to all that later.... I'll let Jodi tell it, she's a better story teller than I am!
While Jo and I have a ton in common, we do have a lot of differences. Especially when it comes to WDW!
We joke that if she says she hated a WDW restaurant then we know I will love it. And the other way around! 
And my family is a take it easy and relax on vacation kind of family. 
Whereas Jo's family is more of a let's go-go-go, we didn't come here to sit around kind of family!! 
They rent a car, while we love WDW transportation. They park hop, we don't. We eat at buffets, her family would not be caught near one! 
You get the picture. So, you will definitely get two different TR's when we get back!

Shelly and I are so alike and yet so different that we are crossing our fingers and jumping right in. She told you how we met, how the trips came to be, and how we see things eye to eye on so many levels and yet so different on so many. (See packing, above.)

But I could have done without creepy Disco Dale!!!!
