We're going to watch it from our house, hoping we can get a good view, it's about 70 miles away, but we have binoculars to hopefully help a bit. I'm going to try and take some photo's with my big zoom lens on the camera. IF it works I'll post them!

I'll be watching on TV.........I saw a launch one time from orlando.......
I would love to see one up close and personal someday!!

I'll be watching from my office window. :goodvibes

HD Net will begin coverage at 11:00 for those who have HDTV (and HD Net).

I will be watching it.....but on TV. I wish I could be down there. That would be an awesome sight! :)

I'll probably go outside and watch it here at work.

Im told we can see it to some degree here on the west coast. Im going to try anyway.

I'm hoping I can see it here to some degree. I know that we can at least see the smoke. Several months ago they shot off a rocket for a satellite launch and we saw the trail of smoke from my house. I don't know if I could have seen the actually rocket because I didn't know they were even going to launch anything until after it was over.

Here's hoping everything goes well for the women and men involved in this mission. ::yes::

Our gang here at work is going up on the roof to watch... :cool1:

Regretfully they now have a 60% no-go due to weather predictions at launch time. :(

Not sure when the next window is if they have to scrub.

Yeah they said that early this morning. However at the scheduled launch time, usually the storms have pushed off to the center of the state. Wind flow is favorable at this time for this to occur.

I'd love to but I'm working! I'll check the news sites to find out if it's successful (and hopefuly it will go off without a hitch!).

Anne,
You should have a pretty good view. I have seen a couple of rocket launches from the Orlando area, and quite a few shuttle launches from the Fort Lauderdale area. The night launches are the most spectacular, but (clouds permitting) you can see all of them with the naked eye. Binoculars will certainly help.

The launch window is 10 minutes, and they have two more of these windows (one tomorrow and one on Friday).

Mike

We'll be seeing it--I'm hoping sooner than later.....if the clouds are in the way....we chance seeing it only a bit or not at all.

Not sure our distance--but we are 20-25 miles south of the launch platform.

I'll be sitting in my front entryway waiting to see it! We always have a great view of launches - this is our first shuttle!!!!

Launch has been scrubbed due to a fuel gauge malfunctioning. :(
