Just wondering who was going to wait for Southwest to possibly lower the just released summer fares? Would it be better to buy now? The best I'm seeing is $169 each way from Seattle. I was really hoping for one of the $99 each way fares.... Is that not likely to happen during peak summer months? :confused3

I think I am going to wait a while before booking our late May/early June flights. The prices that came out today are really high compared to what we normally pay. We are flying in during the Memorial Day holiday so I am hoping the flights don't sell out before the prices go down but I guess I will have to take my chances.

I got the best fares I've seen in ages for STL-MCO May 24-June 1; $180 pp round trip. I think we snuck in before the summer fares, however.

I'm definitely going to wait for a possible sale on fares for our STL-ORF trip later in June, however, as those fares were close to $400 pp.

I'm waiting. I need July 2 - 11 from Chicago. I am not paying $122 one way though!

I paid $94 for one leg of our June trip from MDW to MCO. But it was $158 for the return so I will wait that out. May and the first week of June were mostly $74 so I can be patient :goodvibes

I'm waiting. SW has been offering $74 one way fares from DAL and they best I saw for our August trip were $151. I'm hoping to get under $200 round trip.

I need airfare to Seattle and was waiting for todays rate release. Was very disappointed.

I think we are going to use JetBlue instead because for where we need to go, they have better schedule, non-stop, currently cheaper, and wider seats with TV which is a plus when traveling across the country on a long flight.

We're coming from Seattle to Orlando. I think I'll go check out Jet Blue. Thanks!

SW fares for Spring would have cost $663 for the 3 of us to fly r/t. The fares for the dates we actually need are $1124! :scared1: And American was feeling left out, so they jacked their fares from $843 up to $969, plus luggage fees. Not going to pay over $1100 in airfare. NO WAY.

Airtran is still showing $646, plus luggage fees. That's what their rate has been since mid-November. I think I might just wait and see what happens.

I just booked round trip from Columbus, Ohio for $144/person for May 2-8th. The total with all the fees....was $175/person round trip. It may come down...but I didn't feel that was to bad at all so I got it for my wife and I. Hope all have a blessed holiday....peace...Jim

Last year I waited for PIT-MCO for 6/14-20. Was $366 RT when they first came out. Never went down, ended up close to $400. I ended up trading some hotel points for rapid rewards and got a free ticket but I had to fly the day before (got a $60 room at the Swan with Starwood points for that night). Both flights were soldout, so people must have paid it.
