Who's going September 2008?

I am posting for the first time, have been lurking for quite awhile, just reading all the interesting stuff everyone has to say. I have finally convinced my family that we HAVE to go! We are going to the world on 9/7-9/13. We are staying at POR.(with free dining, yeah! ) Not only just my family, but my brother and his as well. Totalling 8 . We all booked together, and are at the same resort. This will be a trip to honor our late mother, who adored Disney. This will be the trip of a lifetime for all of us. The youngest of the trip is 14, and all the kids will be grown and gone soon. Memories need to be made now, before they don't think of Disney as a place of dreams, of happiness, of family. I hope to see any and all Dis'rs there at that time. Don't be afraid to say hi, cause I will be looking for you, too!!

DH and I will be at POR from Aug 31- Sept. 6. So excited, it's our very 1st time without our children and also 1st staying on property. Have been somewhat concerned with recent negative comments and reviews about POR, but DH and I spent a long time researching and reading about this resort and are not changing, going with an open mind and will form our own opinions. Anyone with positive feedback or tips on unique things to do here would be appreciated!! Thanks Jeanne

We have stayed at POR the last 2 years and are doing so again this year. We haven't had any problems at all, although the buses do get full on occasion. It is well worth it though. We will be there 9/14 - 9/20 along with other members of the family.

One tip with the bus is if POFQ line looks shorter go ahead and take that bus back to that resort and walk down to POR. It is a very nice walk that we enjoy!

We stayed many times at POR and it is beautiful there, a great place just to walk around and has a great and unique food court. In the morning on the walk to the food court everybody is more freindly then any other resort. Only me and DW the last 3 trips last week in Sept. but with our 2 now in college we have to stay at POP but soon as they are graduated the very next trip will be to POR (Dixie Landings). Are favorite is Arcadia Buildings in the woods and a little more rustic. But the Mansions are also beautiful.

Hi Everyone! My BF and I will be making our first trip to WDW Sept 14-20 staying at AsSp! We go to Disneyland/DCA at least once a year because we live in Phoenix. The BF is so tired of DL/DCA he refuses to go anymore. I can't wait to experience WDW!

Hello all, just found this thread. Me and DH will be at the Poly Sept. 21-26. No kids along just us...

Us too, No kids (but @ POP) for the 3rd free DDP, last week in Sept. in a row. However we did take DS21 and DD20 in June ( and paid for DDP) for DS graduation from the University of Penn Wharton and off to the real world, and he starts work at Goldman Sachs in NYC next week

Okay,so I know they have external ports for high speed internent for rent at the resorts. My ? is, if i bring my own port, can I still be charged? I have no idea how that works. Do they just know I am on and figure it is theirs? I have nationwide service, and don't want to double pay for it. They charge $10 per day.I know not alot for Disney, but that is $70 I can spend in the parks!
