Who's going President's Week?

Anyone else going to be at VWL President's Week? We will be there 2/12 to 2/19. Can't wait to leave winter behind for a week, hoping for good weather and good times!

We have gone Presidents week the last 4 years(OKW) and the weather was "great"

all 4 years (temps 75-82). This year we aren't going down until Feb 21 and going cruising on the Disney Wonder for 4 days.

We will be checking out of the BCVs the day before President's Day. Feb 08 - 15.

We'll be there at WLV from feb 14-19 and then on the 3day cruise until the 22nd

We arrive late night Feb. 12 (or early Feb. 13 depending on how fast we can get our luggage and rental car!) and leave late afternoon Mon. Feb. 16. DH and DD get to ride MS for the first time!! We're spending three nights in 1 BR at BWV and one night AKL concierge (we were waitlisted for BWV and decided what the heck, instead of making backup ressies and hoping BWV will come through, let's stay someplace special!).

How crowded is it likely to be that weekend? We've never been at WDW in conjunction with President's Day, but we have been there during Thanksgiving week (the whole week), late Jan./early Feb., the second week of March, mid-June, and right around New Year's, to give you something to compare to....

We'll be at VWL from 2/13-2/21

We'll be at BWV from 2/15 to 2/21 (and Pop Century 2/13 - 2/15). It's our first time going during Feb. vacation/Presidents Week. Not sure what to expect with crowds & weather but I'm sure we'll have a great time no matter what.
We've already planned our Thanksgiving trip to BWV - what an incredible feeling -- having a 2nd trip booked before even going on the first one.

Oh don't I KNOW that feeling of having another trip planned before you go on your next one.

Here is what I have already planned for 04;

Feb 19 - 22 Off site to run the Outback in Orlando but we will be visiting the parks.

April 9 - 15 one bedroom at BCVs

July 28 - 31 right now booked at BCVs but will try and combine points with our best friend to get a 2 bedroom at SSR....This trip includes a DRUM CORP SHOW at the citrus bowl

Aug 3 - 8 Denver CO for Drum Corp finals (Ok no DVC here)

And in a few days I call MS to book my room for Dec 8 = 12 for our Christmas stay at the BCVs.

Throw in a few DCI trips to Mufreesboro, TN and Toledo OH and life s good.

Hi.

We'll be at BCV Feb 12-15 (on the waitlist for VWL). Then we're going to Vero Beach (Beach Cottage) until the 20th.

We'll be at BCV Feb 14-21. This will be our 11th trip but our first trip "home" and I can't wait. We've also got our DS's best friend's family and DS's girlfriend's family going at the same time. They are all staying at the BWV. So it should be a lot of fun.

My DH gave me a DIS tshirt for Christmas and I've got my lime green ribbon on my fanny pack. Hope I run into some of you!

To those of you inquring about the crowds President's week - it is crowded. But not as crowded as Easter week. We have to go when our kids are off from school, so it always seems to be crowded when we go. Someday we will get to WDW at an off time and experience no lines....... The weather is usually cool in the morning requiring a sweatshirt, warms up in the afternoon, and then cools down again in the evening. Anything is better than the snow we usually leave at home! I will be looking for those lime green ribbons at VWL!

This will be our first stay at OKW. SOmeone else said 75-80's for weather...? I thought maybe 65ish?

Anyone know. I'd love to go swimming, or at least hot tubbing.

And should I make PS. Haven't done so...?

You definitely should make your PS as soon as possible. President's week gets crowded. It should be warm enough for you to swim in the afternoon. I remember the last time we were there in February that it was cold at night and I was surprised at how many people were still utilizing the pool. Have a great trip and good luck getting the PS's you want.

But wasn't sure of a good place to eat in the Animal Kingdom lodge.

They had rainforest cafe, which I've gone to in Ill, and thought that was just okay.

Any others people like at Animal Kindgom park.

Also, what kind of special things should I do at OKW.

I know there is an un-birthday party, but don't know if I have to sign up in advance like Cindy's castle, grand adventures in cooking, or can wait til checking (5 Year old DD).
