Who's going Memorial week?

There must be a lot of us that week because we had a really hard time getting a reservation last week. Only resort from the 24th on was OKW. We were so happy to get ANY of our DVC resorts. Does anyone know if there are special events planned at any of the parks? Haven't been there the end of May, just the 1st, is the weather about the same? Last year 1st of May was 95-97 but not humid, VERY nice. Since the ressie was hard to get does that mean the parks will be packed?

We (myself, son and best friend, both 14) are arriving Sat, May 24 and leaving Friday, May 30 (won't be enough time, I can tell already). Since I just became a DVC member earlier this year, I was concerned about getting a reservation. Originally, we were going the first week in June and had no problem getting VWL ("home"). To accommodate my son's friend, we switched to arriving a week earlier, and still managed to do this (this was in March). Also, I had no problem getting PS's of our choice (AK character breakfast, Chef Mickey's, Sci-Fi, Whispering Canyon). We aren't planning to do any thing on Memorial Day itself except swim, etc. - no parks. We've never been during this time, so I'm bracing for crowds. But we've been lucky enough in the last 10 years to make 1 (sometimes 2) trips a year. So if we miss something, no big deal. I'll just be happy to be there!!!! Have fun everybody!!!!

We'll be there and were lucky enough to get a Cinderella's table breakfast on Memorial day, so we are prepared to brave the holiday crowds. We'll be at OKW from May 25th to June 1st. See you there!

We will be staying at BWV May 25-30. I was surprised at the availability making my reservation only 3 weeks ago!!

We'll be there (me, DH, DD, and DS) - at VWL. Lacool - we'll be at Cindy's for breakfast on the 26th, too. I didn't have any trouble getting PS's wherever we wanted them. Does anyone know what the crowds are typically like for Mem'l Day week? We usually go at the end of March/beginning of April, but we planned this trip so that we'd be home for DD's 4th birthday.

It's hot (but not as hot as later on in June), it's humid (but not as humid as later) and it's crowded - but I've seen it worse.

We've gone there a LOT that week. What causes crowds as much (or more) than the holiday is that the schools in the southern states start getting out around that 3 rd week of May and folks head down to Disney. Personal experience: Ok gets out around the 12 th (at least the seniors), the rest of OK schools are out by the 19th, TX gets out around the 25th, and so does Florida.

Just try to remember to treat Monday like a Saturday (that is, avoid MK) and it should be doable.

We are going on the Wonder from the 22nd to the 25th, then we are checking into BWV until the 30th. I read that many have a PS for CRT on the 26th, we opted for a PS at Princess Storybook Breakfast for that date. We made our ressies 11 months out to secure the std BWV view. Can't wait 23 more days until my vaca starts

We will be at VB from the 24-29 and then at VWL from the 29-31. I cannot wait!!! We booked this trip at the 11mth window...so I have been waiting a long time! LOL!!
We are driving down and leaving MI on May 23......yahoo!!!!

We'll be at OKW from May 25-30. DH and DS will be the ones always going golfing or coming back. So I'll be the "golf widow", but with a smile-I'm in WDW with one less college tuition to pay!
