Who's Going in October 2005??!!*MNSSHP dates & info*

I was originally planning on going to MNSSHP on the 4th and 7th, but had to change my plans since there isn't a party on the 4th. I changed my reservation at POR to 10/1 - 10/7. DD and I will now be going to MNSSHP on the 2nd and the 6th. We have a PS for LTT at 6:00 on the 2nd. This may have worked out for the best since we'll probably miss more of the Columbus Day weekend crowds by driving home on the 7th.

Not for the special events like these parties. You make PSs for those as soon as tickets go on sale.

That was hard to do this year! I finally got tickets for the October MNSSHP but it took 3 phone calls and a coaching session from me on how to book them

My first phone call was met with a flat-out "They are not on sale and your friends are mistaken if they think they have the tickets."

Second phone call we were able to get to the final part of booking the ticket (I already was given a confirmation number!) and then when I told the CM I did not wat a PS to go with that he has stumped. He could not book the tickets without booking a PS!

Third call.. SUCCESS October 21st will see us at the Party.

Nope. Same menu as always. Very good though!

Why not? If it is because they are telling you that you can't yet then CALL BACK! It took my 6 times calling to get tickets and PSs for the MNSSHP and the MVMCP. Good luck!

I called first time and got shot down because the CSO tried to tell me I could only get them through DVC number because I'm staying at DVC and the tickets can only be sent to the hotel. I thought that was weird, so I called the hotel directly, who sent me back to the ticket office.

I then got a very pleasant woman who explained that they can only send the DVC/AP DISCOUNTED tickets to the hotel, and I explained that I wanted Halloween night, for which there WASN'T a DVC/AP discount, to which she laughed and said "you must be on the boards!" She then placed my order for two adult tickets for October 31st, added the $3 mailing fee, checked my address, and all was well.

Keep trying!

Oh, and she mentioned that she wasn't positive, but she thinks that LTT is the only restaurant that will be taking PS's at all that night in MK (not the only one that will be open, just the only one that will be taking advance reservations.) She said that in the past others have taken people just as walk-ups because they had no way of knowing who really was allowed into the park that night or not except those who made LTT reservations when they bought their tickets and ended up with many no-shows.

One contradictory piece of info I got from CM that is different from what I'm reading here - I told her that I might purchase an AP and would that make a difference - she quoted me a couple of days like 25, 27 and said AP discount was only available those days - I questioned that and said are you sure it's not that those days are unavailable for the discount? But she stuck to her story -

I decided that I'd rather get the tickets and forgo the dicount than wait about my AP decision -

Haven't the prices gone up???

I got the discount for October 6th. It came right up as an AP discount date. I already paid for them at the discounted rate so I know that is what I got.

I called and used the 800# - I got the same recording, and I agree about the buttons to push, I just wonder how I will do pushing buttons for CRT - I think if you push for dining, its a different set of CM's, I believe I pushed to make changes to existing reservations, which I thought was close enough, just get me a live person!! It worked!!

Again, the CRO usually does not handle dining reservation, which of course LTT is, and what we're asking for... but since this is a "special event" they use the drop down menu, the special event, can only be booked with special tickets, so that is why they get to the screen taking reservations for LTT

We're going September 30-October 8!

We're starting out with 2 nights at Hard Rock Hotel and doing both Universal parks, then we moving to OKW for 6 nights. Right now we're planning on doing MNSSHP on October 7th.

We usually go in December, so I'm kind of excited about trying out October. Does MNNSHP usually sell out for the earlier party dates?

Thanks everyone for posting the dates and info. I just woke up(slept in really late today!) and saw that they went on sale. I updated the dates on the first page, thanks to everyone.

I called around 9:00 a.m. and I got through to Dining Reservations first. Was shot down big time, stating no Advance Dining Reservation until August 2 for October 31. I called back to CRO and my mother called Dining again. While I was on the phone getting the tickets (the CM had just came in and didn't know they were on sale, but I asked her to please check, she came back to the phone and laughed and said "How many and what night?") My mother was transferred around to 3 different people and finally we got Advance Dining Reservations for October 31st. It took some sweet talk, and being friendly before we got what we wanted.

If you get shot down, call back! Just be willing to wait, be patient, and be friendly (even if they are grumpy!)

We just got our MNSSHP tickets for 10/6 and LLT PS. Thank you to everyone for the information. The CM said something about having to use a drop down box to access advance PS at LLT. I hope this helps.

I just got my Tickets! for October 30th! 4 Adult and 1 Child! The CM's name was Edith! No problem at all! She was very nice and took the order without question! I calleed the 1 800 number! Thank You everyone! I was at a communion today and just got home and seen this and called! It's 7:57 pm!


Come on OCTOBER!!!
