Who's going in October 2002?

Yeah! It's finally that time again. I thought it would never come! We're going Oct 13-19 and we're staying at the WL for the first time! I can hardly stand the anticipation!

Disney Doll - Happy Early Birthday! I am one month older than you (doesn't that make you feel good?) and this is also a "40th" celebration - except we're bringing the kids...We'll be having a different kind of celebration!

There is no place in the world I would rather be than WDW!

Thanks for the bump info I did not know that!

We'll also be at the BCV from 10/13 to 10/21 in a 1BR! Yes, we also LOVE DVC!!!! We go down for the golf tournament and last year, we not only got to enjoy the Food and Wine Festival, but MNSSHP also! We went on the third night available I believe! We are also hoping to enjoy the activities this year also. The absolute best part was the parade with the headless horseman, all the villains, and the scary makeup! We really loved dancing with the characters in Adventureland and having our picture taken FOR FREE! right outside the Pirates. My daughter loved the "trick or treating". It's a great time and should not be missed!

Don't forget to wear your ribbons. It's lime green isn't it. If I'm wrong could someone correct me. I find you run into people at the funniest spots like at the airport or hotel hallway. I also got this year's passporter so needless to say I've already been scribbling in it!

Just wanted to say hello to all my fellow October travelers. I was thinking of this thread on Saturday because my plane tickets came (or the receipts). Really put me in a Disney mood, so I looked through a lot of my souviners. It was fun!

Oct 30- November 9th.
Contemporary!!!

Can't wait!!

We have two families - 4 adults and 8 children (5 are mine) going in October

Staying at BC 10/10 - 10/12 and leave on the 4 day Wonder cruise 10/13. Thanks to these boards we are going to have a great time and not miss a thing. My DW and kids think I am obsessed with the planning of this trip (I am). For my family of 7, it is our third trip to Disney and our first cruise, for the family of 5 it will be their very first Disney experience.

The boards are the reason we selected the cat 6 room on the ship as well as the Beach club, I hope you are all right!

Just trying to decide whether to add the transfers - I know we can do the arrangements cheaper ourselves for this many people, but I saw a tip for doing AK on the departure day to Port Canaveral and the Disney transfers would make that a lot easier

The kids range in age from 9-19 - See you all there!

We are going Oct 19-26 and hope to catch the MNSSHP while we are there. We are also planning on the Food and Wine Festival at Epcot. We have ressies at PO-FQ!!!

Good morning, just want to keep the thread active. Going to make HDD ressies. We are hoping my son (who will be six but mildy autistic) can handle it! anyone else making special plans!

We are going! Oct 27 Nov 1 - over Halloween! We've gone the last two years and loved it!

We are another Halloween family! At the Dolphin Oct. 30 - Nov. 2. (We will arrive earlier if we have difficulty making ressies for a short stay beforehand at Vero Beach.)

Definatley planning on MNSSHP for Halloween night! Do the tickets sell out fast?

Nicole

S&k'smom, I have already made my Hoop-Dee-Doo and Luau reservations. When the "window" opens up, I'll be making reservations for Victoria & Albert's, the Wonderland Tea Party, the Grand Adventures In Cooking Class, and the Pirates Cruise. I am getting very excited about vacationing again in WDW.

Count us in for Halloween! That's 10 of us from Duluth/Proctor and 1 from
Cross Lake/Brainerd area; me, dh, my mom, our 4 kids,
2 spouses, and 2 grandkids. We'll be at ASM 10/26; OKW 10/27
- 11/1; Royal Mansions at Cape Canaveral till 11/3 (we would have
done Vero but couldn't get the availability we needed). But I'm
having a terrible time deciding what to do for costumes! Hope to
see you all there! (But I hope it's not too crowded!)

Nigel-bigel, the MNSSHP tickets have sold out for many dates during the past few years, so if you know that you will be at WDW for Halloween, definitely buy them in advance. You also asked about the Pirates Cruise. The following info was taken from the www.disneyworld.com website:

As I mentioned before, my daughter (and niece & nephew) has done all three of the GF's children's activities many times and has always had a wonderful time. She'll be doing them again in October.

For last year (2001), here was the info for MNSSHP (I got this from some old DVC literature):

Again, that was for the year 2001. There is no guarantee that Disney will follow that same schedule this Halloween. Keep an eye on the www.disneyworld.com website for the most up-to-date information (they’ll probably be posting it in the summer).

We're also going! We are staying at either the HRH or the Swan from Oct. 31 - Nov. 2 following a 4 day Disney Cruise. :bounce: Got to get back home before school starts.
