May is getting closer!!! Are we all excited???? I just made my PS reservations!

I`m getting excited, but also a little nervous/scared/anxious that I won`t be organized or ready, and there`s so much to do before we go!
Also a little nervous - this is our first family holiday EVER (unless you count weekend camping trips), and the kids first flights ever, and our first hotel stay (more than 1 night, at least)....and of course, our first DISNEY holiday! I just so badly want for everything to be great for my kids....
And I am, for some odd reason, hesitant to make my PS`s - not sure if it is superstition, or hesitancy to make a commitment (like the flights and vacation pkg were`t a committment! ), or just plain disbelief that we are actually going that is stopping me!
I am so weird!!
But come Hell or High Water, the Wilson`s will be coming to Disneyland in 30 days!!

Ooh - I just noticed this thread - doh! We (DS and I) are coming May 1-5 I just made all my ressies for dinners that we want, so we're good to go. Have PS for Aladdin, doing Fantasmic and EP. Still undecided if we want to do a tour or not - leaning toward not for this time as we want to enjoy and see what's what. We may wait for the tour until next time (August ).

We were originally going to stay at the CGH, but since we decided to spring for APs when we get to the park (since we're going again so soon and I would REALLY love to go some time around Christmas as well!), we switched to the Crowne Plaza and saved about $2000 for this trip - AND we added the dining plan (which we did not have before), so quite a savings! I love me some good savings! That alone will almost pay for our trip in August - yahoo!

I'm so excited, too!!! We'll be there the same time except we aren't getting there until May 1st. I have yet to make our PS's as well! For me, it's more because we are traveling with our best friends and they don't know what they want to do yet. I'm thinking I'm just going to have to make the PS's and tell them where to be and when!

Wahoo! We're going the exact same time except will be leaving on the 6th, rather than the 5th. We are staying at the Grand. It definitely is more expensive but it works well for us. I haven't heard anything about the Crowne Plaza but I'm sure it'll be great! Have a fabulous trip!

The Crowne Plaza is "down the street", but it does have a free shuttle to and from the parks, so it's all good. One day (probably when I don't want to plan so many vacations ) we'll get to stay at the GCH!

I'll definitely will be on the lookout for the LGMHs. I need to remember to do ours before we go. The Grand is fabulous and it's where we always stay but we don't go nearly as often as you're talking about. Although, I'm trying to convince my husband that it's worth going back again this December. I really want to go while the holiday decor is up!

You've read all the threads about the DLR dining plan, yes? Want to make sure you know what you have, and that you'll probably be paying some out of pocket.

That's quite a lot of pressure to put on this vacation! It'll be OK. You've gone camping and survived...this won't be as difficult as camping can be.

Make the PSs, it's easy, they are very nice. If you get Heather and if it's the same Heather I talked to, she's super-nice and is a mom herself, and she also believes that the princesses should be "freed" from the Princess Fantasy Faire.



We're going from the 25th to the 29th of May, and it's DS's 4th b'day on the 26th. He wants to eat breakfast with the princesses (I can't imagine the attention he's going to get, being possibly the only boy-who-wanted-to-be-there there, and it being his b'day as well? lipstick prints all over his face, I imagine) so I made that PS for the 26th. Spendy spendy, but if it keeps us from having to wait in line at the PFF again, I'll spend it!

We're staying at HoJo with the faboo Entertainment Book rate, and I'm very excited to really be able to look around this time. I hear the main pool will be closed for renovations at that time, but the small pool should be open for us.

I'm very excited. Our trip will be May 5-9, arriving the 4th and leaving the 10th.

We booked our flight last week, $174 round trip from Portland to LAX. We would love to fly into SNA, but with the savings we will have extra spending $$ in D-land. An extra $40 each adds up when you are buying 6 tickets!

We are thinking about buying park hoppers for the first few days (to get an early entry day) and then upgrading to annual passes. Then we can fit in another trip or two this year

We are coming on May 27 until June 6. We are staying at HOJO...I'm so excited about going but a little bummed that the pool is going to be under renos.

I'm bringing my 5 year old daughter and 22 year old nephew...it is going to be such a blast!!!
