Who's going in February 2008?

We are taking the boys on a surprise trip for our Mardi Gras holidays February 2- 9. Anyone else going in February?

Is it fair to say that we should expect sparse crowds? No holidays yet... My DH just realized yesterday that we will be there during the Super Bowl. He might be going to the ESPN Club that day.

We may be going the 1st - the 9th! We won't decide completely until probably around August or September though. Gotta see how the kiddo does in school this year!

Us too! Not sure of our exact dates yet, but we will most likely be there the first week or so.

We will be at the Villas of Wilderness Lodge from Feb. 10-15.

You gotta love that so many people go to Louisiana to go to Mardi Gras, and the people that live there go on vacation to get away from it.

Absolutely!!! This is one of the things I am most looking forward to right now. DH just realized the other day that the trip will coincide with the Super Bowl. I pointed out to him that he and his friend will have permission that day to go to the ESPN Club to watch it. Can't win them all1

I did not realize it was Super Bowl Weekend. Your DH will have a lot of company. My husband and son love ESPN anyway....just another excuse.

We are planning to take a trip over my DD Mardi Gras break. (February 4-10).
We were just there in December '06 and we stayed at the CR, but we are looking to stay somewhere new this time.

It looks to be a big Louisiana reunion during the first week of February.

We have decided to switch our resort. We were going to stay at the AKL, but we are now afraid that the construction will give us problems with trying to get my then 17-month-old to take a nap. We are now considering WL or Poly.

DW and I are still planning on February, but not sure of the exact dates yet. We talked about the week of Mardi Gras, and then Valentines week. We're still not sure yet. Any suggestions as to which is better?

We're planning for Feb 1 - 8 at the Contemporary or the WL. Can't seem to get any rate info yet though. We knew enough to stay away this year, with President's day and all. We're looking forward to a week without crazy crowds.
