Who's going in 09?

Anaheim (AP) March 15, 2009 - Club 33 to go down for refurbishment.

The famous private club at Disneyland will close for refurbishment on September 1, 2009. Disneyland officials hope to have the club open on October 1st 2009. Officials will not comment on the changes being made to the club.....

:confused3

You're just mean........

I had a private tour of Club 33 a few years ago. Since it was closed that evening we could walk around and examine everything. Even got to walk out to the upstairs "Veranda" on the Blue Bayou side. :)

We've decided on a last-minute trip arriving this Sunday, 4/19 staying until the 23rd! :yay::yay::yay:

Hello Everyone. New to the posting thing.:goodvibes

Dbf and I are going for a quick trip on Monday the 20th for two days:yay:

Love reading all the threads:woohoo:

Disneyland or Disney World? We're gonna need more dirt than just your arrival date!

Where ya staying?

Where ya eating?

What are you really looking forward to? :cool1:

Disney World:cloud9:

We are staying at the Wilderness Lodge....We love it there!!:lovestruc

We havd ADR's at Boma the night when we arrive. We both have never been.

Then on the 21st(april) we are doing Epcot and MK in one day!!! Dbf wants to ride TT and Splash and he can die a happy man!!

I cannot wait to just be surrounded by the Magic!!

Ya Wilderness Lodge is one of my favorites!

WL is very nice. I stayed there a few years ago and really enjoyed it. I liked it better than Beach Club where I stayed at my last trip. Although I liked the location of Beach Club more. So convenient to get to Epcot for dinner.

We both love how relaxing and laid back it is. Even though this trip will not be anywhere near laid back!

I'm taking my first trip September 21-28. Staying at YC (this is apparently where the Disney Institute selected for me to stay... I'd prolly rather be at POR based on the architecture, etc.) I will be in class the 23-25th and on my own the rest of the time... It'd be fun to hang out if anyone else is going around that time.

Cancelled! We both work at the same company, which abruptly and permanently closed its doors yesterday. Unemployment line here we come :(

Ouch!

That sucks!

I'll send some happy thoughts your way that you'll both find something else ASAP!

That really does suck. DH and I had this happen twice to us! I will never again work where he works...too scary.

Thanks for the well wishes :)

I haven't had to interview for a job since 1991, so I'm extremely anxious!

Aww, sorry to hear that! That really stinks! What timing too! Good luck to both of you!!

Hey all. I will be in WDW from June 7-15 staying at AKL. I can't wait. I've been to WDW just twice before, both for short trips and frankly not very well thought out vacations. Being a Californian, I have been to Disneyland many times, but I must say I truly love WDW, and I am totally stoked (yes I'm from CA...and yes, maybe trapped in the 80s a bit) to go. This time I have done lots of research (thanks in parts to the boards!) and lots of planning. I'm traveling with a friend who is well matched with my Disney geekiness, so I know we're going to have a blast. CAN'T WAIT!!!

Woo-hoo!

You're going to be here the week AFTER gay days! You'll miss the fun!

I know, I know...it was the only time I could take time off. Unfortunately, I couldn't travel a week earlier. And my friend that I'm traveling with is a straight one, so I'm not sure he would've appreciated gay days. I may try to make it for gay days next year. So, yeah, I'll miss the gays en masse, but I'm still excited for my trip :-D.

There should still be lots of us around the week after. Don't worry! :thumbsup2
