whos going HHN & when??

I want to go for around the 27th or 28th (depending on the price difference ;)) ..:goodvibes maybe we can manage to go together this year!!!:cool1: My DD and I are both off on the 29th & 30th so I am thinking of maybe even taking off the rest of the week and staying up there the entire week...::yes::

That would be fun. We get in late Friday night so hopefully my dh wont mind if I sneak off ;)

We will be there oct 4 and 5th --- hoping to do a RIP tour if not i guess i will have to break down and buy the EP --- last year guests at the hotels were getting a discounted rate on the EP's wonder if they will do that again this year?

We'll be doing as much Frequent Fear as possible, most likely eating at Finnegans so we can get a jump on things.

believe mike mentioned this before, sound like a good idea:thumbsup2

could u give me a rough idea as to planning this?

assume a ressie would be a good idea since we won't have FOTL this trip:confused3 ...what time would be good to eat to help avoid long wait in "the pen";) ?

we will be there oct 29 to nov 4th but will be at seaworld for oct 31, think the grandkids are to young for the hhn, independence mo:furious:

We never had a ressie at Finnegan's, just headed over about 45 mins. to an hour before the projected early let-in time. Even if you're done eating before that, there is no pressure because everyone else is doing the same thing. You just stay in the restaurant instead of having to go into the pen, and they make an announcement when you can leave. Well worth the cost of buying a meal. Often they would let us in a few minutes early.

A few times we didn't even have a full meal, we just sat at the bar and had some tasty beverages! But most HHN days, our plans were based around having dinner at Finnegan's and being let out somewhere around 5:45ish? If I remember correctly, sometimes the tasty beverages make things hard to remember :lmao:

no, the hotel guests did not get a discount for the express pass last year or any year.

express passes are never discounted.
the hhn tickets can be bought with a discount if you have the ap

Macraven has started a there to document who is going, and on what dates, so we can set up meets and get somewhat "organized" this year. She will update the dates and peeps on the first page as the posts come in.

The thread is here
http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1846729

that's the main idea of having that thread mike.
you are so smart.........and cute

you can find others that will be at hhn when you are.
i am grouping the sign up-ers by date they plan to attend hhn.

you can contact them by that thread or by pm since i am using only the screen names for the listings.

Any idea when the discounts come out for AP holders?

We have booked our Express Passes for the nights we want, just want to buy the FFP now.

Is it worth waiting for the AP discount? Didnt have an AP last year so not sure what the discounts are like.

Cheers for any info.

Claire

Yes...wait for the passholder rates. They should be out in a few weeks. DO NOT buy the $69.99 tickets now!

Ep never has discounts.
the HHN tickets gets a discount from the ap member.

last year it was about 2 weeks after the first annoucement and sale of hhn tickets before info was released for the ap discount for hhn tix

for me, yes i wait for the discount rate to come out.
any savings is more money to spend on my HHN addiction in the park.
i buy the lanyards, shot glasses, shirts, etc that is related to HHN.

last few years Coke came out with some discounts.
i have never bought my hhn tixs with the coke discounts.
i wait for the ap release.

you can also use the ap for a discount for the RIP tour

Yes I would definately wait for the AP rates to come out on the tickets. Good deal on the getting the EP. I wont go without one. To many times the place is packed and I don't want to wait a hour or more to get into a house.

NeilDrum, you are getting the advice from the homies that go to HHN a lot.
4greatboys, metro west, myself, etc. all advise you based on what works for us.

take advantage of our suggestions
buy the ep and avoid long lines.
one year on a peak night, the regular line had a wait of 120 minutes.
the express lane wait was only 15 minutes.

:thumbsup2 Buy the EP,s.Last year we didnn't and we spent more time in the lines, like mac said the lines will be long!

I just love their beer sampler...mmmmmmm! The perfect precursor to HHN.

Hi all

Brilliant! So glad you are going this year! :woohoo:

We can't fit it into this year's schedule. :worried:

But we want to tag along with you all in 2009! :woohoo: Just seems too fun to miss.
