debbie, we'll be there in august also...

did you book RPR yet? we're planning to spend a few days an universal and i am undecided whether to stay at wdw and "commute" or try RPR... i'm leaning towards switching over to RPR... did you get a decent rate?

We were undecided what to do also. We booked Pop Century for the first half of the week and we were going to travel to Universal but we wanted to be able to get the "front of line" access when you stay at a Universal hotel. Our rate for RPR is $199 with 2 free adult tickets. I don't know how good that is! This will be our first time staying at a Universal Hotel. When in August are you going? I hope you have a great vacation where ever you decide to stay!!

thanks! same to you! late aug/early sept is our fave time of the year to visit wdw!

fotl is what is luring me to a universal hotel... but i learned somewhere that fotl passes can also be bought ($16/person?) and then i got to thinking that at that time of year how necessary are they really? we never use fastpass in wdw that time of year...

another upside/the flipside is that we've never stayed RPR and i'm considering telling the kids that our wdw vaca is over and just when they think they're heading to the airport pull into another hotel... it could be fun!

We went the 3rd week in August back in 2003 and the wait on the popular rides were horrible. At that time they had a promotion that was if you bought a certain disposable camera you got a coupon book with front of the line coupons for certain rides. That was the best thing we had.

Do you know when you buy just the front of line passes are they for all rides or just certain ones?

I like your idea of telling the kids that the vacation is over then going to another hotel!!

My dh, two granddaughter's and myself will be there August 20 through Sept 3. The first week we are staying at the Poly the second at OKW. Can't wait till we get there.

We're going again this August! We're staying 8/18 - 8/26 at OKW. We usually stay about a week a half, but because we just joined DVC this year, we could only stay 8 nights. We're staying at a 2 br villa, which takes up a lot of points. I am so incredibly excited, because we haven't been to WDW since August 2001. This is also the first time we're staying at OKW, since we usually stay at a moderate.

My wife, our daughters (7 and 11) and myself be in Orlando from August 16 then on August 26, we leave for a short 4-day stay at Cocoa Beach, then go back home. We rent a villa near Disney at Sunset Lakes, and a condo in CB. I plan to buy a 7-day MYW Plus pass for WDW.

I am going with my family from August 26 through Septmeber 3. I think we are staying at CSR but we might be changing to CBR I'm not sure.
