Who's eaten at Yak & Yeti?

We loved it and have decided that it is a definite must do next trip. I had the crispy Mahi Mahi which was just yummy and light. My DH ordered the Steak and Shrimp. Really good presentation and he loved it. My older DS had the Honey Chicken that he loved. For dessert, DH and I ordered the mango pie which was a definite hit. Can't wait to return next year!

Wasn't Y & Y going to be a buffet? Also someone mentioned CS in a PP. Isn't it a sit-down?

We ate there in December, shortly after they opened. The ribs were really good and absolutely fell off the bone. DH had some kind of asian entree and loved it. Avoid the prawn-flavored chips. They are very styrofoam-like, but my kids liked them.

We will be eating there in Sept.
Hoping we will enjoy our Meal.
I love the Theme of the Place-it seems
really Cool!!!
I want to order either the Fried Shrimp or
the Maui Maui--both come with dipping sauces.

Tusker House is a buffet.

Yak & Yeti has both a full service restaurant and an outdoor counter service (called Anandupur Food Cafes).

Thanks Nala. I must have been confused. I thought that when they first were planning it, a buffet was mentioned. I must be thinking of something else.

Ah yes, "shrimp" chips. I've made them at home and they really are styrofoamish aren't they? We do like 'em though...especially dipped in oyster sauce. LOL

Would you compare it. With the honey chicken nine dragons served? I am going in September. I loved Nine dragons Honey chicken. So, I am hoping that Yak&Yeti' is on the same line. Since, Nine Dragons will be closed. Thanks in advance!

We absolutly loved Yak & Yeti. It was our favorite meal of our trip in Jan. In fact my husband and I are going back for our anv in early Dec. and cant wait for this meal again. We had 2 steak and shrimp meals, a ribs meal and 2 kids chicken nuggets. The brownie sundae was amazing. We were seated on the 2nd floor next to a window and loved to people watch while waiting for our meal.

we'll be checking in the day before and have planned Yak & Yeti for dinner on 9/10 (ADR gods willing). Can't wait to try the Duck!!! Oh, sorry Donald!:rotfl2:

Anyone order the ribs?? I want to get these next month and was wondering if they are good

Its seems like the early reviews werent great, but ive seen mostly positive reviews lately. I cant wait to try it.

Hi do they have any themed alcohol(rum) drinks on the menu thks daveb

We tried the Yak and Yeti for lunch. We loved it!

We ordered the duck, honey chicken, ribs, and the beef/shrimp combo dinner.

The four of us sampled each others, and enjoyed them all. We all enjoy rice and it was nice having more than one kind of rice available :thumbsup2

For desserts we tried the mango pie, fudge brownie sundae, and fried wontons. They were all great!

Service was great, too!

We will definitely return.

The ribs were amazing. Me and my DH enjoyed ourselves there. We had the dim sum basket. He had a fish and i had the ribs. for dessert we had the fried wontons and sorbet. Everything was very good.

I'm having lunch there this coming Monday (YAAAAY we leave tomorrow for WDW!!!)

And I will be sure to post a review. I'm looking forward to it!

Well it seems like we're getting mixed reviews so I'll just have to decide for myself! We made ADR's and will keep them. I'm not a fan of buffets so this just seems like the logical choice for AK. Both the fried wontons and mango pie sound delish! I'll post our review after we get back!
