We are just back from our trip. We enjoyed it and booked a bounceback for the discount, but we really want to move it out to April of 2027. We may do that even if there is no bounceback offered.

Tired of food/wine, fall trips at Disney. We loved Flower/Garden in 2023 and want to go back! Plus I need at least 1.5 years between trips.
2026 we are doing Dollywood/Gatlinburg during their fall/Halloween season. Very excited for it.

Anyways, this is just a spot to spend some time for vacation day-dreaming.
I'll be here if there are any other kooks like me out there! 😄

I haven't started actual planning yet but am thinking spring 2027. I think DH will need knee surgery this next year, we are planning a big/expensive trip to Ireland next fall, and there are family illnesses that make me want to put it off.
But I'm lurking on the forums and dreaming.

That's a lot on your plate for 2026!

We are thinking of the week or two weeks after Easter week. We don't have kids and I don't understand spring break timing anymore. 😄 When I was a kid, it was always the week before or week after Easter. Now it seems like it lasts March through May.

But honestly, the worst crowds we've had were this past trip and our trip the first week of December, so I think as long as we avoid Easter, should be a good week.

We are also tentatively planning April 2027!

Hoping to book a Finding Nemo suite at Art of Animation around a year out (once they open 2027 packages) and stretch out the payments.

Would be myself, my two girls & my will-be 3yo granddaughter. :)

Happy planning everyone!

I wonder when 2027 booking dates come out? Is it around summer of 2026? Seems so long! 😄 Will be fun to watch stuff about Flower/Garden this year.

Next year we plan to change our freshwater aquarium to a saltwater aquarium! Quite the undertaking, but in the end should be gorgeous! Between that and some parties we will be having, that's a lot to keep me happy and planning until we start planning another trip. :D

They’ve released as early as March but April / May is most likely.

We are off to Disneyland in April 2026 for the very first time. And have booked September 2026 at Pop Century for some MNSSHP fun.

We are planning to go in March 2027 so we can have one last “free trip” with my granddaughter before she turns 3!

We are! DH is planning a trip in early Nov, 2026, for F/W, to start the year of festivals. We are tentatively planning last week of Jan, well he is anyway, not sure I can go on that one, for the Fest/Arts, and then early-mid May for Flower/Garden, then hopefully another trip in the fall for F/W before his AP expires. Flower/Garden is my favorite festival, so I hope to at least make that one!!
We're debating season passes for Dollywood too. I love all of their festivals, and the Pumpkin fest is really fun!

Planning a January 2027 trip, and just checking to make sure that those dates will not open up to book until sometime in March-May 2026, correct? There's no way to book those dates sooner than that, correct? Thanks!

Yes I think you are correct! You used to be able to book room only at 499 days but, but they stopped a few years ago

Yes. They usually release dates through October of the following year in the spring.

So January 2027 would definitely be offered.

We cancelled October 2025 and rescheduled for May 2026 9 night BWV 1BR and will initiate our AP's then. (We are on/off AP owners). We already had 2 weeks scheduled in October 2026, so we will use our AP's again. It got me thinking about doing a late April/early May 2027 trip with those precious AP's. If all goes well, DH should retire by April leaving us with more options like driving vs flying and staying at HHI on the way back.

We are still working on getting my parent's home up for sale and have been working non stop to get them settled in AL and their house cleaned out. Yesterday, we got the last of the furniture into the garage and plan to go back today to do sheet rock repair, paint touch up and a few other things. By next Saturday, the house will be professionally cleaned and soon to be on the market after new carpet installed and a few bath fixtures replaced. Winter is here in force, the holidays just ended and our son and DIL visited over this time...whew...we need a break!

Planning three trips within one year is exciting and we need time to decompress. As soon as SWA posts October 2026 flights, we can wrap those plans up and in June 2026 we will book our DVC points for May 2027.

Let the planning begin! :cheer2:

Now we start the wait of 2027 package/room rates release!

I'm also waiting on if they will extend bounce back into 2027 so maybe I can move our October 2026 bounce back rates to 2027! Either way, we aren't going this year.

I guess I will see many of you in April 2027! We had the option to do another dance event next December, but nobody from DD’s age group is going so we didn’t opt in either. She also doesn’t want to miss school now that the work load has increased.

DD is happy to go during her April break, especially since we told her she can invite a friend. Traveling with two teenage girls will mean two bathrooms. We’re thinking ASMu family suites. DH feels like the theming at AOA is too much for a whole week.

Can I ask when her break is? Just trying to figure out our April dates. I think though we are going 4/11-4/22. I know a dance comp starts on 4/23!

@japanese maple , I forgot to quote your post.

We are going the week of the 19th, but not for dance.

The dance event her studio participates in (Dance the World) is usually just a showcase/dance down Main Street/banquet, not a competition. They haven’t competed at Disney, so I’m not sure how those affect crowd levels.

But I think Dance the World clogs up the parks more than a competition because their events happen at MK and EP, only last a couple of hours, and then the dancers and families stay in the park. If you want to avoid them, don’t go in late June/early July or mid December. Also contrary to popular belief, they aren’t staying at the All Stars. DTW hotels are POP, POR, AKL and Swolphin.

Actually I think it's a cheer competition! I don't know what it is (Cheerleading Worlds?) but we are getting the heck out of dodge before it starts (4/23-4/26/27)! :D We are staying at Gran Destino this trip and I know that CSR can be a place they stay at sometimes.

Good planning! It sounds like we might overlap with them for a day or two, but hopefully they will be busy competing during the day!
