Who's confirmed for the Member Cruise August 2014?

Just booked a Cat 4B deck 8 midship. This cruise just happens to fall the week of our 42nd anniversary so it will be a present to us. Never been on a Members cruise before since we just bought DVC in August of 2012.:cool1::cool1:

How wonderful!

We were on EBTA in May for our 45 Wedding Anniversary. It's a great way to celebrate!:thumbsup2

We're booked for the cruise. I, too, called at 9am and I specifically pressed 1 for booking the member cruise. After 10 mins of waiting, someone answer and I was so excited until they told me that they would need to transfer me to a Cruise specialist.

I waited another 45 mins and my first 3 choices were gone and ended up with my fourth choice but didn't get the stateroom that I wanted. Also, I had to be put on the waiting list for main dining.

But we're booked for our first Member Cruise. Moving it to August was perfect for us. We couldn't go any other time. So I'm glad they changed it. And yes, I would assume that there would be lots of children. March and August is usually when we go and there are MANY children so we're used to it. But I really wish it was a 7 day cruise. We went on a back to back a few years ago and vowed not to do a short cruise. But I suppose this is the exception. I still wished it was 7 nights.

Oh well...I'm excited. We'll be on 2 cruises in 2014 which is the first for us....one 7 night in March and the Member Cruise.

By the way, I heard that there are quite a few differences like entertainment, special guests etc. But does the dining change as well? Or the kid's club programs?

Also, for those who are not interested in the special guests, are there other activities that we can do? Just wondering....

There are only minor changes to dining and the ships shows. In prior years, there was a different dining rotation on the member cruise. Pirate Night is moved to Monday, so you repeat the same dining room the first two nights. Dining menus are unchanged for the member cruise.

The Disney Dreams: An Enchanted Classic show is normally on Wednesday night. It's moved to Tuesday so that DVC can bring in special entertainment on the last night of the cruise. All three of DCLs main shows are still performed.

?..

On the 3 night this past January, I enjoyed the movie "Lincoln".. so, yes, they still have the normal offerings, like Trivia. The 3 nighter just flew by. My DSis spent lots of time in the Rainforest, we, my cousin and I, hardly ever saw her!

Thanks! I don't mind the menu on the regular cruises, I was just hoping that there would be something different for the Member Cruise.

Thanks! I do hope they have some new release movies for Aug Member Cruise. We usually watch one or two movies, but we've seen them.

My husband and I attended all the "Anyone Can Cook" seminars. My husband loves to cook...I don't particularly like to cook or bake, but I love watching chefs cook. Hopefully, they'll have a lot of these as well. Perhaps with a DVC twist...not really sure what that would be, but it would be interesting...:)

I went to the Lobster Ravioli demo, on 2 ships...one may have been the MC, I do not remember.
