Who's camping for 4th of July? We are!!

Hello to everyone! We used to live in Florida and started camping at FW many years ago. We always go for July 4th and Christmas! I have always gone on this site to read and get great information but this is my first post! WOO HOO!
We are so excited and love all the pictures of the renovations. Anyone else staying during the 4th? We will be there with another set of friends from 6/30 to 7/8. Our oldest daughter just turned 16 so she gets to drive the golf cart legally with all the kids and the adults are looking forward to our own cart. FINALLY!

We'll be in a premium pet loop, but there will also be a big gathering of other DIS board members for the Fourth. Are you going to be in the parade?

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome and helpful information! Yes, we have entered into the golf cart parade every year for the last 7 or 8 years. We just do the usual patriotic stuff and every year we are so amazed at what others campers come up with. We try and explain to all of our friends that have never been to FW what it is like and the just can't even comprehend. Last year the Wall E was amazing! We enter for the fun knowing we will not win but we all have a blast! We look forward to seeing you all! We are excited!

Many people who camp in July-Sept have those portable air conditioner units. They seem to work very well.

We will be there starting July 2 and going through the 5th. Just a short trip. We are eleven days away from our week long trip, not that I'm counting the days or anything. Then we have July, October and December this year. We love it.
