Was just wondering if anyone here has been to US/IOA in September and what they though of the lines? What were the waits like for the most popular rides. Could a person do both parks in two days in September. Thanks for any help you can give me. :bounce:

Was there last September for a long weekend. Aside from the lovebugs, it was a great time to go.

The lines were not bad at all and the weather was perfect. Plan on going back this September.

I went in September after the Labor Day weekend. Saturday at the park was very slow. Spider-Man had a 10 minute wait near close. At MGM, the RnR Coaster was a walk-on in the middle of the afternoon.

we were at both parks last sept 16-23, no lines to speak of, we covered A LOT of ground. You could do both parks in one day, but you couldn't ride the hulk 10x in a row! like we did.

I had forgotten about the lovebugs....Suess Landing looked like all the buildings were painted with black spots..I guess they liked the bright colors too.

One day was cool and raining, DD and I rode every ride at least twice with practically no waiting. At one point, in Spiderman, we could stay in our scoop and just continue again.

We always go to Florida in Late September/Early October, because there are no lines, low prices and good deals. The non-Disney parks often have a Second-Day-Free-Offer during that time of year, this means while you're in the park you have to go to Guest Relations where the issue a ticket for a second visit to the same park within 10 days for free. You only have to pay the parking. We had that at Universal before IoA opened, at SeaWorld and at Busch Gardens.:bounce:

Went last Sept 21 - 26. Crowds low, a short rain every day. Very hot & Humid, and lovebugs everywhere. Swore I wouldn't do Sept again. Guess What? Going back Sept 13 - 18. Since I travel with grandboys from two different families, father of one says Sept is the only time I could take him out of school. Still looking forward to it with great enthusiasm!

hi, we were at US last sept 9 -10. i forgot about those bugs, they were everywhere...we
were there on a sat and sun, we had early access on sun cause we had 2 day passes, the
parks were pretty empty until about 1, thats when it got real crowded, we got on all the rides,
but we didnt do any shows...we are going back aug 20 - 23 and staying onsite at the HRH,

are those love bugs around in august????

thanks, patty

It's a perfect time to go. As long as you stay away from Labor dady, September is a dream come true for theme parkers.

We do 2 parks in 2 days in September every year! The lines are short, don't worry.

Something that has caught my attention was written by Viking above. I didn't know about the Second-Day-Free offer in September. Is this a fact every year? Does anyone have the exact dates this offer is valid? I sure won't purchase the 2-park 2-day passes if I can get the 2nd day for free. Does anyone have info?

Still curious about that second-day-free offer in September. Does anyone have any further information?

September is a great time to go?! Me and my GF have gone every September for the last 3 years (unfortunately my first year of grad school will not allow us to go this year). My only word of caution/advice: check the weather channel daily for about 7 - 10 days before you go! September is hurrican season. It always rained once on every September trip. Luckily they didn't close the park?!?! As far as the second day free.....they usually post it on their website shortly before the offer begins. We got a third day free with our Universal package last year and it was great (by the way, some of the Universal packages are unbelieveable. Check 'em out! You can save tons of $$). The catch is that, if you buy a package before the "2nd day free" offer begins, they won't tell you that you're eligiable for it...you have to check their site daily for updates and offers. I just happened across it about a week before our trip. You'll love USF in September....short lines and nice weather (with the occasional 30 minute thunderstorm)?!
