Who's attending D23 party at Disneyland 3/10?

We are there too, although I put down the same name twice on 2 different reservations (bought 5 tickets and had to use 2 accounts and accidentally put the second account holder as a name on the first account).

Way excited! I saw the Disney World event sold out in like a half hour. Disneyland is still available right now, but I would think it might sell out very shortly.

I wonder what the surprises are and especially which characters will be there. I can't wait!

I sure hope that it will be ok to change names! Of course the website says that you can't. OR I am guessing that children don't need ID so maybe we can just put the babies wristband on the 6 year old?
Once I have this sorted - I AM SO EXCITED to go to our first D23 event!

We have 3 adults and 2 children in our party. I'm thinking they only ID the people picking up the wristbands/packets with D23 membership card, photo ID and confirmation letter. Then the wristband is the ID for everyone to actually get in (D23 expo was this way).

Good luck with the baby/6 yr old name issue. I don't think it will be a problem. I am counting down to the party!

Has anyone been able to pick up tickets to their event without their membership card? Just confirmation letter, ID and Reciept for membership? I ordered our membership recently specifically so we could attend the D23 Ani. because we are going to be there already. BUT now I am worried that the card isn't going to get here before we leave.

FYI, I just received an email back from D23 as follows:


Dear D23 Member,

We thank you for your interest in the D23 Member exclusive events. Your ticket purchases are fine. Please make sure the D23 member picking up the tickets has the proper ID on them to pick them up.


So it appears as long as the person picking up the tickets has the proper ID, it doesn't matter who uses them (which makes sense considering they are using wristbands for entry and children will be in attendance and rarely have ID (although we did bring our son's birth certificate last year for his Free Birthday Gift Card).

Sounds like you won't have to worry about putting down the wrong names on your ressie...

I just got my tickets. I recently joined the D23 membership and have never been to an event. Are they usually really crowded?

Funny you should ask. I emailed them and asked how many tickets they were selling, if they could say (because I wonder if it will be 1,000's of people or something smaller like 500. They emailed back saying:

Unfortunately, we are not able to release the number of tickets that are being sold for this event.

So, I have the same question. I wonder how many people will be there. Hopefully it isn't Main Street summer fireworks standing only type crowds... I just want to be able to meet all the characters, have a few desserts and maybe catch a few rides (wouldn't be upset missing some rides because we'll be there all week anyway, and I'm coming for characters, desserts, and whatever surprises they have in store).

FYI- Customer service was fantastic and changed the wrong name for me within a couple hours!
They are also re-sending my membership card to make sure that it arrives in Canada on time. (Fingers crossed on that one as it's already been 3 weeks.)

I shall be going along with my DBF and a few VMK friends! I'm super excited! Me and my DBF were originally gonna go in may for our anni buuuut since this event came up we decided to head out early! we'll be the kids with the dressed up stitch doll lol

Just found out that partner dude purchased tickets for us! Just made a reservation at Hojos for the night as I really don't want to drive back to L.A. at midnight! See y'all there!

So excited to go! My kids and I are watching Spin and Marty right now, so they'll know who Marty is. Don't know if the VIPs announced will be mingling with the crowds, but fun nonetheless.

I'm more excited for the characters not seen in awhile. I imagine we'll hear what happens at WDW on the 5th, and they'll be doing similar things during their Fantasyland stuff I imagine.

We're just excited to go back to DL and have an added perk of a night of surprises! Wish I knew what else will be taking place, but kindof glad to have it be a surprise as well!
