Whoops, Disney Messed Up!

Did anyone ever hear of Disney ever messing up anyone's wedding or portion thereof? Did they make it right or at least apologize for the error?
 
On our wedding night we received a free comp night (customary for DL weddings) in a 2 bedroom suite at the GCH. The next morning housekeeping started knocking on our door shortly before 7am! She kept coming back every 15 minutes asking if we were ready to check out. ***! Needless to say we couldn't sleep. So we grabbed most of our things (wedding dress, tux, cards, clothes, etc) and took it to my parents hotel room to store since we would be switching hotels that night. When we returned to shower and get the rest of our things we found that housekeeping had cleaned out our room and checked us out! We were furious as it wasn't even 10am yet!

DH spoke with the manager and they were not too please with housekeeping. As we were missing things that were left in the room to be picked up on our next trip to drop off things, she sent staff to look through the garbage. None was found. I'm talking about scrapbook souvies, table cameras, some additional cards and gift certificates, personal items etc. I also thought that my MOH pearls were missing. Thankfully I found those after our HM in s shoebox with my wedding shoes.

The do not distrub sign had been on the door so all of it was uncalled for.
In the end the manager comped up 2 nights in a simialr suite and 2 3 day park hoppers. They tried to schedule us in for the next few days but they were booked. So instead we used it 6 months later. The recoup was nice and appreciated, but we were woken up wayyy to early by housekeeping who kept rushing us to empty the room.


During our reception the catering staff forgot a portion of our meal that I specifically requested. We sopke to out Day Of Coordinator when she asked if the meal tasted fine. She blushed, told the staff and within minutes everyone had a separate littloe dish with the missing item. Taken care and and very fast!

I am asking the question not because I want the dirt on Disney or looking for free stuff. Rather I am a long time hotel manager and know and understand there is rarely such thing as a perfect wedding day...even at Disney, things happen.

I know in my hotels, if something bad happens, I at least want the opportunity to make it right...but I just wonder if something does happen, do they make it right? Or do they just laugh at you and walk away?

I have read so many things here on the boards, where they are inflexible with rules or policies...it just makes me wonder if that is how your wedding day is?
 
i remember reading on here once that someone had all of their hotel rooms for them and their family cancelled a month before the wedding because disney forgot to put in that she paid the wedding deposit or something like that. Luckily one of the outside hotels had rooms available on short notice and worked with her on it. I think disney tried to book them all back but she and her family had to switch hotels like every night because they were all booked. I think they gave her that option and that was pretty much it.
