:woohoo: and :cool1: and all the others!!!

I even got to book the Pirates cruise for the kids!! pirate:

I am so excited. I turned 40 in Jan. and have just booked a trip for July (kinda late I know) BUT, in the process of planning a "surprise" first time trip for the kids, I was so excited I swear it took 20 years off of me.

I lived in CA growing up and have been to DL a million times, but never WDW. So my husband and I will take our kids, this summer and they have no clue. (that gets me more excited ) :yay: We will just put them in the car and drive, then see how long it takes them to figure it out.

Oh and "THANKS!" to everyone on this board for the tips and all. :grouphug: I would have missed out on so much without your info. You all are a godsend :goodvibes

Thanks Agian!!

Shelly :cloud9: ; wife to Sam:cool2: ; mom to Nate-11:thumbsup2 (loves green); Elizabeth - 10 ::cutie: (must I elaborate?); and Nicholas - 9  (alway has a joke)

Good for you! I believe the money we pay for our WDW vacation is also for the endless hours of excitement leading up to the trip. The last 4 months have been a dance of excitement, worry, joy, nervous energy and fun. It was already worth it and I haven't even gone yet.
Your kids are going to have a blast! Where are you planning to stay?

Congrats on booking your vacation :thumbsup2 - that is exciting! Half the fun is planning & being here on the DIS talking with others about our upcoming trips to WDW. Hope you have a magical trip in July :goodvibes

I was 44 and Dh was 49 when we took our first trip to WDW. I was more excited then my kids.
I am planning our third trip and I'm really looking forward to it. My DD (16 )told me the other day that she was excited about this trip. :woohoo:

Planning is half the fun of the trip. It helps add to the excitement.

:tinker: Have a magical vacation!

Where are you planning to stay?

We have reservations for Pop Century. My husband is retiring from the military so we were still able to use our military discounts. :cool1:

I can't wait. I have been reading these boards all day just about - even at work. :rolleyes1 But I only did that in-between our patients. I think I am SO much more prepared because I now know little things to look for, and yet don't expect to go everywhere and see everything in one day. Someone mentioned to let the kids be the ones to kinda determine our pace which is a great idea.

Like you are going to have a :goodvibes:cool1::thumbsup2:goodvibes:banana::banana::banana:magical time at WDW.

This is Disney's YEAR TO CELEBRATE and turning 40 is definitely a reason to celebrate. At least, in my book! I turned 40 in March, but will be going in August! Congrats!!

The cross-country drive will put those years right back on ;)

Did you look into Shades of Green rather than Pop for the Military Discount?

Don't forget to use his discount for a free SeaWorld visit.
