Im packed and ready to go! I have all my rain gear minus the sexy Mickey poncho. I do hope the rain is not that bad. What rides close when it rains? I have been planning for a year and now its going to rain:sad: I know it frees up the park but still it will not be the same.

Don't worry about it, just enjoy the park anyway.

They close Alice in Wonderland, sometimes Big Thunder, Golden Zypher, sometimes California Screamin. Can't remember anything else closed when I've been there in the rain, but I'm sure there are a few more.

I think they close Alice too.

We'll be there on Monday. The forecast on accuweather shows rain on Saturday but no other day. Don't stress! It'll be good times!

It's probably raining there right now (or soon) Rain tomorrow (Friday) and Saturday too.

Besides those mentioned, these rides can close as well: Tea Cups, Small World (though not often), Matterhorn, Storybookland Canal Boats, there maybe others at DCA. I know I've been on Screamin' when it's raining so they don't always close it. BTW rain hurts when you're on Screamin" :rotfl2: The difference between whether a ride closes or not depends on if it's just sprinking, or if it's pouring. :umbrella:

We used to schedule going to DL (before it was DLR) on rainy days-no crowds! :rotfl2:

If it rains, there are some good options to keep dry. At DLR you can go into Innoventions-you can tryout a Segway (for free). Kids can do stuff as well. Ride the Monorail.

At DCA a great place to get out of the rain is Disney Animation Building. You can spend several hours there doing Animation Academy (do it a couple of times even), Turtle Talk w/ Crush, and Sorcerer's Workshop. It's a great place to go, not usually very crowded, and if you do the Animation Academy you'll have a wonderul souvenir to keep (your own personal sketch).

If it's near meal time eating is a great way to get out of the rain.

Thanks those are some good tips. All things we have never done. I know we will still have a good time even if we get wet.

We will be there too!! Rain or no rain...I have my poncho, if it's that bad I'll grab a couple for the girls too. :) I can't wait!!!

In Fantasyland today, I saw Alice in Wonderland and the Teacups were closed. I was surprised to see Dumbo and the Storyland Boats were still going. We didn't wander to the other lands during the rain, so I can't say about any rides other than the Fantasyland rides.

We went a couple years ago in the rain, We Rode the Matterhorn in the rain, it was Great! Small world was closed, Pirates Island was Closed, Autopia was closed. We had a GREAT TIME in the Rain!!!!!!!!!
