I'm sure I am a newcomer to the Whole Foods Market experience compared to others. I think I am in love though.:lovestruc

The cheeses, produce, fish and meats are simply amazing! I really am enthralled with this store! Anyone else? What do you like best?

I love Whole Foods but I MUST go get some General Tsao's vegan chicken from the deli and a vegan blueberry muffin.

We have two nearby and I can not stay away. Everything is so fresh, the seafood is amazing!! Even the cut fruit is delicious beyond anything I've ever tasted, albeit expensive. We get wonderful cut flowers every time we go, they are cheap-cheap-cheap and you can get stuff there that is absolutely exotic. I buy soda for my son and his friends either there or Trader Joes because no HFCS. Those lacy, chewy chocolate things....OMG!!!

Love their guacamole, and their boneless pork chops stuffed with apple/dried cherry stuffing.

Were you at the new one that opened out east? I'm guessing it's really nice!

We love it but it is known locally as Whole Paycheck...

I have no idea what those lacy chewy chocolate things are but I am SURE I need to find them! Their fruit is incredible. Love the flowers too and all visits I have bought some.

The Guacamole is the best! The smokey one is my favorite. Yes. the one that opened out East - UGH! I can't stay away.:lovestruc

I love their sushi, but I can't have it due to chemo...I will when I can though. I miss the spicy tuna

They started here in Austin, under very humble beginnings. I'm glad to see their success. I agree with the pp who likes their sushi. It rocks!

:confused3 Never been to one so I can't comment on all the hype. I know a girl at work goes to one (have no idea where it is around these parts) and she loves it.

Premium service for a premium price.

It is a bit frustrating sometimes trying to find something that we shouldn't be buying in the first place. For example, last weekend we were trying to find some carpet stain remover (we have an older cat with a nervous stomach  ). Well, anything that would be strong enough to clean a carpet stain, specifically, is evidently too harsh for Whole Foods to offer for sale - they generally stick with safer cleansers.

So carpet stays stained, and the environment thanks us. :)

Love the spicy tuna also. I also love that they make it with brown or white rice! I hope you can have it and enjoy it again very soon.

Go go go!

I dunno around here its all expensive so I gladly pay the price for an exceptional market! The service is pretty amazing though.:)

Ohh never heard of Gelson's guess they arent around here yet.

Gelson's is just like Whole Foods, except it is one step down on the price scale.

It is still more than say a Ralph's or a regular grocery store, but Gelson's is so much fresher that normal stores, yet not as pricey as WF.

Do you folks have Fresh and Easy's yet? I like them too but they are limited to what they carry.

Gelson's could very well be just a SoCal Chain. I'll go Google now...

YEP!

They just have stores here:

Calabasas
Century City
Dana Point
Encino
Hollywood
Irvine
Marina del Rey
Newport Beach
Northridge
Pacific Palisades
Pasadena
Santa Barbara
Sherman Oaks
Silver Lake/Los Feliz
Tarzana
Valley Village/NoHo
West Hollywood
Westlake Village

I like Whole Foods, in general. But in Oregon, there is another chain of grocery stores in the Portland metro area that is similar in product but better in... just about everything call New Seasons and I LOVE that store, and it's generally less pricey and more local/organic. Pretty much all of the produce is organic.

Well I can hope they spread their wings in this direction! Sounds wonderful too. :)

So anything like a Trader Joes? We also don't have any New seasons around here either.
