I am a decent fireworks player, but not great by any means. I can usually place in the top 3 if I play during "off hours," but have only broke 4400 once. Getting my silver pin I consider to have been a minor miracle. I usually do not break 4K.

Did they change something in the last 2 days? This morning I did this:

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

As much as I would like to get excited about amazingly improving significantly, this just seems WAY too different from my usual.

Those who are really good at fireworks, is the game different since Saturday morning (last time I play - and got high 3800s)? :confused3

Thoughts? Observations?

Thanks!

Wow congrats on the score! I have not played for a few days since I had pretty bad lag, but if it is scoring better I'd love to know too :)

Well, Dreams I gave it a try after I saw you and I still stink :rotfl:

So if they changed anything it didn't help me. Back to pirates pirate:

I seemed to do a lot better then usual as well. I played with QA_caffdawg, so maybe they have made/are making some alterations to the game? That would me my guess. Plus I experienced no lag today, which helped. :)

Yes, a few minutes after I posted this, I was helping a girl with the Dumbo quest in the fireworks lobby when QA_Caffdawg appeared. We said hi, but QA_Caffdawg went into the next game.

I did not play that game since I was still helping her on her pin, but I was very interested in the fact the QA_Caffdawg was there. So the question still remains - is the game different?

I didn't notice anything "different". The only think I can think of is that each time you light one off, you are getting more points for them then previously. It might just be me, but it seemed the bonuses appeared to be worth a little more then usual too. :confused3

Hmm, and I thought I was just finally getting a bit better. I also have been playing it on my husbands computer which is a better, faster computer. Maybe it has been adjusted.

Take it in stride. ;)

There's nothing different, as far as I've noticed, in the game.

Congratulations on your game and continued improvement. In no time you'll be hitting 6, 7 and 8 thousand! :)

There was a post like this a couple weeks ago. Seems a lot of people are experiencing this, so it may be true. There was speculation that they made the length of time the fireworks stay as stars longer. It's possible.

I agree...something is different. I would be lucky to break 7000....then out of nowhere, I was getting a few hundred over 7000. It doesn't make sense that my average would go from about 6200 to about 7200 overnight unless they changed the timing of the game, even if slightly. It usually takes me weeks to get my average up more and more.

Having a game or a few that are above your average doesn't necessarily mean that anything is different. ;)

I'm quite sure that I would notice something different, considering the number of games I play during any given week. ;)

Heh, well I'm still getting lag, so can't help answer that question. :( Give me a couple of weeks and I'll let you know then. :rolleyes1

It's not just one game or a few games....it is every single game I play now...and I know my pattern of playing and I know my average does NOT jump up that much in literally one night and stay that way. I know you play a lot...but several people here have noticed this and this is not the first thread about it. It's possible you don't notice it because whatever was changed doesn't affect you when you're already doing very well. For those of us who are "slower" and therefore don't hit as many fireworks in order to get as high a score, the difference is very noticable.

It doesn't matter what the reason is...enjoy your new high scores!! Woot! :thumbsup2

Well the higher scoring didn't seem to work for me in the couple games I played tonight but I do have to say I had way less lag than the last few times I have tried to play. I did get towards the mid to high ranges of my usual scores fairly easily though also so whatever was done or not done I was happy :)

Perhaps a lack of lag is what people are noticing? My games are not very laggy very often, but when they are it's very noticeable! Lag would explain why the fireworks' star seems to be shorter than it is now.

Maybe Melp has suggested the key - lag vs. no lag.
