DW and I have lived at the home we built in 1990. DS just recently moved to a nearby town to be near church and work. DD is marrying a young man who lives in the same neighborhood so she'll be moving there in July. We drive a pretty good distance to church but real close to work, however, with both kids moving, we stopped on a whim a few weeks back and looked at a home which was being shown as an open house. We really liked it.
Long story short, we put in an offer which was accepted with the contingency that we needed to sell our house, which we officially listed Monday (last week). It was shown Saturday at noon for the first time. Saturday evening we received an offer which we didn't like. Our counter was nearly full price which was accepted yesterday. We're moving.....wow. A quick answer to prayer!

You got lucky.

We were going to move close to my inlaws once but they discouraged it. MIL said move close to your parents but not close enough that you see smoke coming out of the chimney. That was our problem we would have seen the smoke.
