That had to have been the most exciting Super Bowl of them all - and I've seen them all! See my play by play commentary on the "All I have to say..." thread. I had a wonderful time posting with myself!

I thought the Steeler's were a-goner after Fitzgerald scored with less than 2 minutes on the clock!! And then when Harrison acted out - wow! He should have been thrown out of the game for that one. It tarnished his "glory touchdown" IMHO. Had the Steelers not snapped out of their 3rd & 4th quarter coma at the end - Harrison's penalty would have cost them the game.

All in all- people got their money's worth out of this game! Exciting football!

I have never been much into televised sports but, I normally watch the Superbowl. I watched most of the 3rd quarter and then went to bed and missed the rest. apparently I missed the most important part.

They should have been......for the love of god and continued eyesight...they should have been!!! I was on the verge of stabbing my self in the eyes with a hot fork when looking at those awful photos...I mean, Im sure they're very nice girls...but ..... if I wanted to see something with celulite just dripping off of it, I'd look in the mirror!

I don't care who won, as my phins weren't in it, but it had to be one of the worst officiated games i have seen. And yes I have seen some bad ones.

Nothing from the Steelers but they must have paid off the officials. Since when can you beat the crap out of another player and not get tossed.

Go figure if the NFL wants a certain team to win they make it happen.

While I didn't notice that the officiating was one sided, I do agree that Harrison should have been thrown out of the game & perhaps benched for the first 3 or 4 games when the regular season starts next fall. IMHO he un-did all the glory of his interception return when he acted out like he did.

I cannot share your same sentiment for the Phins. I was raised in Buffalo & now live near Tampa. My DH is a Phins Phan, as he was born just north of Miami & lived there during the Phin's glory years. The Phins have never been the same since Shula retired.

Ok, I know I am gonna catch flack for this but here goes....

I don't think Harrison did anything out of the ordinary, he was just isolated on film doing it! He did go too far, and should have got the flag, but it was nothing worse than what goes on almost every game. He had a guy he was covering down, he forearmed him to keep him down, and when he got up he PALMED him onto his back.... admittedly, it was hard enough to send him sailing, but it was part of a play, not a act of retaliation or malice. I think the forearming on the ground should have go the flag, the hit once he got up was nothing!

John- I gotta give you some flack.....did you close your eyes??? Harrison shoved Francisco down after the play was over & then continued to shove & "block"!! He deserved the penalty & he should have been tossed from the game. There was no call for that! I love ya, John....but I have to disagree on this one.

Actually Deb, if you watch the play in the background of the clip while he is pushing etc, they are still running and covering the punt. Here again, if you watch any other play in the game, zeroed in on a pair of players like that was, you will see almost the exact same thing every time....

The punch/forearm in the back was too much and should have been flagged, but the rest was just a player on player block during the play.
