Who Will Be There In May

Though we usually prefer a late April trip we are going in May this year due to DD's First Communion. Deciding today if I should take the plunge and make air reservations for 5/16-26. Anyone been over Memorial Day weekend who can tell us what the crowds are typically like? Already getting mentally prepared for the heat, but given the shivering we have been doing this winter it is very appealing at the moment!

My daughter and I will be there May 2-10th at the Dolphin. It's our 2nd visit (1st at the Dolphin). We are getting so excited !!!!!
I too made PS for 1900 at GF for one of our first eves there. Also going to try to get the Magical Cindy's Castle but I have to wait.

We will be there May 23-29th. We have been before on Memorial Day weekend. CarrieAP, if you stay away from MK on Memorial Day it would be best, the crowds are heavy. We took the advice of our bellman and went to Epcot on MD and the crowds were not as bad. He said MK is where all the locals want to go on the holiday.

Chatty, Hubby,and the grown family will be there, April 30th-May7,03...Staying at the Swan Hotel..Can't Wait! Can't take the deep Freeze anymore.....BURRRRRRRRRRRRR.

We will be at the CR from May 11-17, we are calling this the princess tour since trip is for my DD who will be turning 5. So far I have booked a princess breakfast at Epcot, the new Cinderella Dinner, & Chef Mickeys for Mothers Day dinner. Still waiting to book Cindy castle for breakfast.

We will be there May 4th - 9th. We are staying at Old Key West. Can't wait! I've already made our ressies for, the Storybook breakfast at Epcot, Donald Duck Breakfastasaurs, and the Cinderella Dinner at the Park Fare.

Just read your post. My DH, myself and DD (7) will also be staying at the Contemporary the first week in May. We arrive the 1st and stay thru the 3rd then off to the 7 day Eastern Magic and then back to the Contemporary. Can't wait......

My husband and I will be there May 2 - 10 at the Dolphin
We started out with a rate of $35 a night at Comfort Inn LBV and then moved up to $95 a night (Tower Room) at the Grosvenor and then moved up to the $129 a night (discount deal) at the Dolphin. We are looking forward to checking out the Dolphin and from what we hear, we will be back there again and again . . .

My DH, DD and I stayed at the Swan two years ago and my sister-in-law stayed at the Dolphin. We had a junior suite, thanks to a booking mistake that was taken care of by one of the employees who reads these discussion boards. My travel agent booked us into the Dolphin by mistake, and my DD wanted the Swan. So I wrote an (upset) post and the employee read the post and contacted me via e-mail and he was nice enough to change my room ressies to the Swan and give me an upgrade to the junior suite (no add'tl cost). My DH wrote a letter to his boss raving about the wonderful service and about him. The service, food, pools and the hot tubs were great and you can rent Swan paddle boats for the lake. Have a great time and enjoy the view.....

going may 25th - june 1st. went last year at the same time. i would say crowds are large during the memorial weekend then average after tuesday of that week.

May 16th-22nd for us. We are purposely avoiding the Memorial Day weekend crunch for a nice relaxing get away!! haha Like that will happen. We are planning on being at the CBR. Hope you all have a great time!!!

Thanks for sharing about the holiday crowds. We have no desire to fight the crowds so may structure our trip so that we have resort time over the weekend. I think I am taking the plunge and making air ressies tonight as found a pretty decent rate. Will likely stretch it out and stay from the 16th- 26th. This will be our longest stay ever! I have always been so envious of those who get to stay 10+ days and now I will get my chance to experience it for myself! Just hope that some decent AP rates come out so I can find a way to pay for this luxury. Also, have never split our stay between 2 resorts but might consider it this year. May even take advantage of the great deal at Dolphin, being both a nurse and a government employee. The planning is so much fun!!

We will be there for our honeymoon from May 11 thru the 19th. The first night will probably be at one of the DTD hotels, since we're arriving late, and after that it's on to the Polynesian!! now, where are those codes?? This will be our first time at the Polynesian and we are really looking forward to it.

We are going May 14-17 GF RPC....Can't wait. We are going to DW on the second half of our trip--- May 11-14 we will be at Atlantis and we visiting the Mouse on our way home to NYC. I'm looking forward to DW more than Atlantis
