We are first-time cruisers and are beyond excited. Even my daughter, now 14, who tends to think that family outings are somewhat beneath her is counting down the time and is thrilled. And her brother, now 7, is happy on all family outings anyway, but got excited when we saw the video -- he kept saying, "I want to do that" regarding every activity and excursion on the video! Trying to find out who else will be there, and perhaps some of the kids (and the rest of us) can start getting acquainted.

So close...... We are on the 10/19/03 Wonder...... Just missing each other.

I know there is another 10-12 thread..

But I am going on the October 12 4 day cruise.. Its my first time.. Can't wait. :bounce: :bounce:

Hi Fred!

We will definitely be there. You might want to take a look at another thread we have going for this cruise, started by my dear friend Kamgen. It looks like we have a pretty good group of people on this cruise!!

I saw the other thread after starting this. I was a leeeetle bit afraid, though, because it appeared that perhaps a couple of passengers might need to remember their Ritalin to keep from being too, um, hyper.

Just kidding. I need to find "friends" for my children to meet in advance. They will be eight and fifteen at the time we cruise in October. Anyone with any potential online penpals for kids going on this cruise?

Fred, our son and daughter will be 13 and 11, respectively, on this cruise. They are always anxious to meet new friends on the cruises. They can function fine without Ritalin, too! ;)

tarzanman, however, is another story. The boy ain't right.

I wasn't speaking of anyone's children! ;)

Glad to know there are a few on this board who will be cruising with us. We had booked a cruise for May of 2004, but with the great prices decided to shorter one sooner. My plan is to stay in category 10 in October, then in 6 in May. I figure it is like accommodations at Disney, once you stay in the "bigger" it is hard to go back.

Well Fred, we will be on this cruise and also on the Magic the following week, so you can bet we will be in full-blown party mode! :)

And it's not hard to go back to the smaller cabins, it's impossible!
I still feel guilty about downgrading our cabin for this cruise, but the savings were just too great. Since it's only for 4 days, we'll live with it. We'll do it in style on the magic the week after! :)

Looks like we'll be there too. We were scheduled for the May 25th cruise but because we're having to make up snow days at school and my daughters semester exams were extended we will be cruising in Oct. during their Fall Break. The kids were pretty disappointed at first but now they seem to have accepted it okay. Either way, we can't wait! Now I just need to see if I can change my counter on here!:p By the way, my DD will be 16 when we cruise and my DS will be almost 11.

Great! My daughter will be 15, and glad to hear that she is not the only teen who will be cruising.;)
