Please tell me what time did you go? What is the earliest they are allowing folks in with just a MNSSHP ticket? :confused3

Thanks!!!!!!!!

We went last night, and we arrived and entered around 4:30. Received the wrist band and trick or treat bag at the entrance. They had party guests entering through the turnstiles to the right.

:thumbsup2 we went on 9/15 and entered at around 6:45 we had been there earlier in the day and went back to the resort and swam and had dinner before going back to the park.

Did Disney do a good job of clearing the park of non-party guests? did you see people without wristbands after 7:30PM?

The party starts at 7:00PM; however the official park closing is at 7:00PM. There was a rumor flying around about Disney not telling non-party guest to leave after 7:00PM. I'm curious if they are enforcing the policy.

The party goes from 7:00PM until midnight.

We arrived around 5:30. At 6pm, an announcer came on (I think it was our "Ghost Host" ;) ) and made it very clear that the park would be closing at 7pm for non-MNSHHPers. Another was made at 6:30pm and another was made again at 7 I think (not sure if one was made at 6:45 too).

It was made very clear that those without wrist bands leave the park. As we were entering a ride shortly after 7, I saw a CM explain to some guests that they needed to leave the park as they were not wearing wrist bands. After 7:30 or so, I saw almost no one without a wrist band (I was looking after all the debates on the boards!).

We left at midnight (well, made our way to the shops on Main Street at 12). Just before, we went to the candy stop by the Carousel of Progress and two CM's put huge handfuls of candy into my bag and the last said "that should do it!" Yes- they are trying to fill your bags at the end. :teeth:

We went on the day of the 15th. We arrived at MK around 2:00 that afternoon, at around 6:30 or so, we went in front of the castle and got our armbands and bags..... I noticed they were ushering people without armbands out. Really, all the hype about people not leaving is not true. I was looking.... and I saw no-one with out armbands after about 8:00. The CM's on the rides expecially are LOOKING for that. Of course it gets dark, and you can't really tell anymore, but I think if there were people that were there enjoying the party without "paying".... it was a VERY few.

Just a tip.... and I may sound tacky, but we brought our own Halloween bags that were much bigger than the ones they gave out, and we made quite a haul on candy. No-one said a word about it.....

My observations would say that they did a good job of clearing out non party goers. I was not there to "police" folks with out wrist bands, but when I was in a line of people, I did notice lots of orange.

The park was certainly clearing out when we arrived at the parking lot at 4pm - there were tram loads of people - full - like you normally see at closing.

The park was very "quiet" in my opinion from 4:30 when we really got in the park. There were two girls riding in on the monorail with us who did not realize why the park was closing early.... the one was sure the MNSSHP did not start until October!

In my opinion - I rather liked the parking staying open - we were not sequestered in one area and were able to continue riding rides. From the time we entered at 4:30 we:

shopped a bit in the Emporium
4:45 - walked past castle
5:00 - Grabbed a bite at Cosmic Rays
5:30 Finished riding Indy Cars twice
6:00 Finished riding Buzz - three times
6:30 Finished TTA - two round trips and walking towards Liberty Sq
6:35 reached HM and waited to meet another DISer ("ryanally")- DD rode while I waited outside - chatted with them a few minutes
6:50 - Rode Peter Pan (10 min wait)
7:03 - Took first picture at Dance

We did not do much in the way of rides after the party started - DD rode Goofy's Barnstormer while I went into Minnie's House (I did not realize the line was so long, and figured I would wait for her to come in, but I got caught up in the line of people, and she "excused" her way through to find me.... (accidental line cutting?) -

The sign at BTMRR said 5 minutes, but when she went up she said it looked much longer and she did not wait (we were in the midst of a "tiff" at the time - so she was being "difficult"!).

Next party I want to hit Toontown for the other characters & then ride rides..... we got the fireworks and parade out of the way and are staying at the Poly, so no need to drive home! I of course would not mind watching either again, but will pass if we can get some more rides in! It was nice watching the parade from the train station platform we got up there at 10pm and got a little table. DD played with some Fairy toys I bought her, and we just chilled.

This is was our 5th party since 2003 - I did not notice the crowd level to be any different than other years - we have gone from mid September up until last year the weekend before Halloween.....

Thanks for the report. I just saw your pictures. Where was that when you saw Melificent? I love her!

4pm was when they were up and running on 9/22. We arrived shortly afterwards. We could see them from the monorail just finishing the set-up outside. Maggie

I have a Q:

Do they make EVERYONE leave the park and than re-enter?

Also, do they have the decorations out the day of the party?

No, they do not make everyone leave and re-enter. There will be CMs around the park to exchange your ticket for a wristband. If you enter the park after 4:00p, then you can just get your wristband and bag at the turnstyle when you enter.

No, they do not have Halloween decorations out during the day. The park is transformed for the party.

How can they do that when everyone is at the park though?

They do.

There will be a special entrance for party goers after 4:00p. Then you'd get your wristband and treat bag.

If you are already in the park, you can look for a CM to exchange your ticket for a wristband and bag. They will be around the Castle and City Hall. They start doing the exchanging around 6:00p, not sure.

If you are not going to the party, they will ask you to leave and will make announcements that you must leave.

They are very good at doing this.
