Neither Michaels near me had anything. I was a bit sad because I wanted some really good deals, but nothing. Doesn't even look like they are going to replace any of their open stock paper, which is a huge disappointment.
nothing! i went to both near me and not a thing. there were a few things left on the shelfs but nothing of interest to me. phooey. i really wanted a good deal and nada!
That is what I figured would happen I am so glad that Hobby Lobby just opened here!! Even though they just opened, they have a huge WALL full of scrapbook clearance. I love that!!!
Nothing at the M's near me (Liberty, MO) either....unless I missed it all together. M's is slowly working to the top of my list...list of stores I only shop at when necessary.
Actually, not to be a gloater (is that a word??) or anything, but my Mike's had a lot of stuff on clearance. Sizzix dies, tons of stickers, paper, embellishments. I got a lot of stuff for not a lot of money! I was very proud of my restraint.
I felt pretty lucky at mine. I got some great paper for some upcoming swaps at .25. There was also some post bound albums...really nice...for $9 that I'm going to use for the next CJ. They were also dumping the Christmas cardstock for $1.00, which I can use for my card classes...So, I felt I did good. Plus I got employee discount off everything, and saved about $9 with that...like getting that album for free...
The only thing I got were the refills for the Sandylion Disney albums for $3. I bought 7, they had about 7 more and I thought about just buying them all, but I was trying to be good, and I only have 2 of those albums. I did take them home and put 3 packages worth in one of them right away, I had the pages done, but no protectors.
I went back yesterday, and our Michaels FINALLY started the reset, so now the whole scrapping section is ripped up and basically not even on the floor, so I couldn't find anything. They had a couple baskets out front and some of the 25 cent sheets, but it was basically a disaster area.

Forgot to post that as I suspected, my Mike's had nothing. The few things they had "clearanced" were pitiful - stickers marked down 20-30%, specialty papers/vellum/overlays marked from $1.49 to $1. You know, I could get better deals than that on a regular sale. The new Hobby Lobby down the street from Mike's has definitely stolen my business, even if Mike's has gotten a few new items (Heidi Swapp ghost letters and shapes, Martha stuff (not interested!), etc).
I would have to agree, Michael's didn't have much here either. I think it was a great promotional idea to get us in the store to see what was going on. I was impressed with the makeover. Michael's has one of our largest selections to choose from and that's not always saying much. I went this evening and was quite pleased and left with a bag full.
