Who wears lime green?

Well, I'll be in the world 7/16-7/22. I will be laminating my lime green Mickey heads(from Home Depot) and putting them on our backpacks and fanny packs. So if you see me please say hi. I hope to see some DIS'ers while I"m there. We will be staying at FW and I somehow want to mark our campsite that we are from the DIS too.

I bought a lime green shirt for our trip (despite the fact that I hate lime green ) and nobody said a word to me about it.

Also, I asked a few different people wearing lime green if they were from the disboards and they all looked at me like I was from another planet, so I quit making a fool out of myself and asking people!

What have your experiences been with the wearing o' the green?

Boy, do I wish I'd met y'all when I've been there! I've worn lime green Mickey heads flapping from about 4 places on my backpack, lanyard, etc. and I've only met 2 people from the DIS that way. I, too, always wondered what to say to people wearing lime green who MIGHT be from the DIS without them thinking I'm just crazy ("What's a 'DIS'?") Someone on these boards came up with a great suggestion I'm going to use next time. Go up to them and say, "That's a very interesting green. Is there a particular reason you chose that shade of lime green?" (or something like that) If they're from the DIS, I'm sure they'll take that opportunity to tell you. If not, they'll probably just say they just liked it or something. And if you see someone with multiple lime green Mickey heads flapping all over, say "Hi!"

I bought the gray Dis T-shirt that I will be wearing on my trip. I will probably wear it the day I go to MNSSHP on 9/30 at night so look for me and say Hi.

Last trip we all had on matching Tshirts with our Caricatures drawn on them in front of Epcot. I had on a lime green ribbon on my camera bag, my dd had on a lime green ribbon in her hair and I pinned lime green mickey head buttons I'd made with the Home Depot chips and some glow green glitter paint on everyone of us LOL

Still no one said a word I even wore my lime green mickey button and ribbon to Universal.

Lime Green is such a popular color for clothing right now that I wouldn't ask anyone unless they had a lime green DIS shirt on

I went to Home Depot the other day and picked up my lime green mickey paint samples. I am going to make luggage tags out of them.

Because lime green is a very popular color in clothing right now, I would never depend on that being a sign of Dis-Boards. Instead I look for lime green ribbons tied to purses or back backs, the famous mickey head paint swatch from Home Depot or other homemade nametags that some people use.

I have to be pretty sure before I'll approach anyone and ask.

I didnt wear green but i saw some people that were i was afraid to ask b/c I thought they would look at me like i was werid. So i think we should do something else. Like a tag or something so u will know for sure

In 2003 we were all encouraged to wear lime green ribbon. I did so faithfully, everyday, despite the giggles of my family. Did not meet anyone else from the DIS, but did field many questions. As other posters have said, I got funny looks when I explained.

For this coming trip, I'll do it again! Also going to add a lime green Mickey head somewhere on my "gear". Hoping to meet at least one of you!

The picture in your signature literally made my heart jump! My DD4 just got her Sleeping Beauty gown that she will wear in WDW and she is blonde and often wears her hair "up". I hope I can get a beautiful picture of her while we are in WDW, like you have.

My DD is now 5 but she was 4 in this picture. It was Christmas time 2004/2005. Magic was everywhere and this picture captured it perfectly. Sending you plenty of pixie dust so you can get a magical shot of your little princess!!

I have tried to order the dis bum-bag and badge but it won't let me because I live in UK and don't have a zip code
