I just got back from my friend's daughter's birthday party at the zoo, and she had the cutest cake! It was super cute, tasted great & only cost $50. I just had to share:
There was a little ripple spot on the bottom from transporting it 30 miles from where she picked it up last night to her home and then 1 1/2 from her home to the zoo today. Other than that, it looked amazing.
Wonderful I always wanted a fondant cake but I thought I heard people say on the food channel and similar that it doesn't taste good. What did the icing taste like?

The white & light brown icing was buttercream, and the decorations (leaves, flowers, animals, giraffe spots and zebra stripes) were fondant. This is the third cake I've had from this girl, and she does a very good job of making the icing smooth. The fondant doesn't have much of a taste, it's just extremely sweet. I ate a leaf just to see what it was like!
