If you find the application works on your Samsung Reality please post for me. That is the phone I just got earlier this month. Got my fingers crossed. I know the other Disney application works on it but I haven't gotten it yet to check it out since we don't go for a while.
Hey Everyone! DH's been out of town for a week so I was on my own with the kiddos which left me not much DISing time! I'm trying to get caught up today!!![]()
Dh and I were talking yesterday. Seems like time to book our ADRs snuck up on us. Hopefully time will keep going quickly. NOw that summer is here the year does seem to more quickly.
Don't wait too long... things have been filling up fast. Of course, it may be that since you're not going during Free Dining (like I am during my August trip), that it'll be a bit saner.![]()
Oh no...I have them all booked. I just meant time was going quicker than I thought. We booked our trip in January so ADRs were so far away then...and now all the sudden we have our ADRs and are started to think about the parks themselves. So glad the ADRs are made though. We got them all including Le Cellier!

Excellent... we have never gotten into Le Cellier. Have you eaten there before? I even called the very first day we could book and it was full. Oh well. I guess I am not meant for steak. That's ok. The one I'm really looking forward to is the re-opening of Cantina De SanAngelo and the new La Hacienda de San Angelo. It is supposed to reopen in Oct or Nov. I wonder if they will take ADR's for it when its not even opened yet?I haven't called... but we could just do the walk-up Cantina.. but the menu is very different.
I know what you mean. Now that we've booked everything, I feel kinda lostWhat will I do with myself til the actual trip
I know that I should look into a few more things, photopass and figuring out how to use a touring plan this time, but it seems too far away to do those things.
These new restaurants in Epcot are confusing me too. We're thinking about eating at the new Italy pizza place, but don't particularly want another ADR particularly when we have no idea when it will be available to make ADRs. When did counter service become so unpopular?
Yea for us the room discount is better anyways free dining doesnt save us alot.
That's a good question. I think people have forgotten that they're just restaurants and attending them has become an event in itself. I'm also going down in August. We're arriving on the 11th, but on the 14th, the free dining offer begins. People are going crazy for it. They pay a non-discounted price for their room and ticket package, and they get a free dining plan. Quick service if they stay Value, Regular if they stay mod or Deluxe. They can pay to upgrade to deluxe also. Ummmm that means its not really FREE!;: People don't get that. I'm taking a room discount with my AP and thank you very much, I'll eat when I'm hungry. Once in Oct 2008 DH, DS, DD6 and I stayed at OKW and we added the regular dining plan. That means that we had to have 1 tableservice restaurant per day. Now, you can always do two table services one day and none the next. You can mix them anyway you want.. but still.... so we had all these reservations. While the restaurants we ate at were good, we spent alot of time changing our "what are we doing right now" plans so that we could high tail it somewhere to make an ADR. My DH hates doing that. "sorry kids, we can ride that right now.. we have to race out to the bus and hope we can make it to our next ADR"
This is vacation. When we first took my oldest DD to Disney in 1990.. I don't even think we had a single ADR. I don't even think we knew what one was. It certainly is easier to eat counter service. Actually, in EPCOT, the counter service options are excellent. The food at many is just as good, if not better than the food at TS restaurants. I love the Somerfest in Germany, Yorkshire Fish & Chips in England. Tangeirine Cafe in Morocco, there is a good one (can't recall its name) in France and Norway. Love their baked goods. That's why I"m looking forward to the new one in Mexico. The confusing part is here. They're billing it as larger with more seating for 500, however, the quick service part with actually have fewer seats than it had before. I don't remember the breakdown that I read on a blog, but the new cantina has far fewer outdoor seats. But still... the food is good and if you can sit by the water outdoors to watch the fireworks, even better.
We've never used the dining plan and won't this trip. Like you said, we just don't want to run all over the place, don't want to eat what the plan tells us, and we have an ADR at every place that interests us and still don't have one a night! We're buying gifts cards to prepay for food which we'll put on our resort keycard and got a pin for a discount.
I really don't understand this daytime CS/nighttime TS deal. Isn't that how it'll be in the new Mexico place? So there will be no more CS in Mexico at night? And if the new Italy pizza place is on the dining plan as people expect, how do you have individual meals at a pizza place? Are the pizzas going to be small like in Pinocchio's Village Haus? Why must Disney torture me so by not just telling me![]()
