Who uses VRBO? I'm worried about a place we booked.

Hey all! We booked a place to stay for October trip through VRBO, we are staying in Windsor Hills. We made the initial deposit 7 days ago and reached out to the owner, who had previously responded to an inquiry and additional questions about the home. But after we made the deposit 7 days ago we have not heard from her. How long you would wait to report this to VRBO? Trying to give her the benefit of the doubt, but getting worried. We have not sent the rental agreement, only the down payment. Anyone else had this happen to them? We've rented with VRBO many times and this is the first problem we've encountered like this.

We’ve rented through VRBO 3 times for homes in Clermont/High Grove and also for a condo in Maui. We always had timely emails from the owners.

Have you checked the rental calendar to see if your October stay has been blocked out as not available? If it’s still showing as available, you should contact VRBO.

I would give the owner more time to reply

They could be " Stuck " in bad weather. Or have the " Flu " bug .

They probably just assume it's booked. When I had a house on VRBO/Homeaway I would send a confirmation though. You are booked out far enough I wouldn't panic but if they don't respond in the next few days I would alert VRBO.

Is there a phone number or contact number? I would try calling direct we have renting 5 times in Windsor hills never any issue.

Thanks for the reassurance!! I did end up calling vrbo and they are going to reach out to owner. It sounds like it will work out fine, and it's legit so all is good. Thanks for the help!
