Who uses 8x8

After doing mock layouts on several different sized papers, I *think* I am going to commit to using the 8x8 book. Only becaue I still do use the basic photo albums that hold 2 4x6 pics on each page and have journaling space on the side and my 8x8 albums are the same size as the photo album and they all look uniform when they are on the book shelf. Lame excuse I know.

The only problem is that I have so many WDW pics, I hope I can make this work. I am going to wait till I come back from September trip to start the book, just in case I see something down there that changes my mind!

Till then can you please share your 8x8 layouts? Can you share any hints or suggestions to using 8x8?
I know that I can search on 2 peas, but I'd have to choose other as they do not have 8x8 listed as a size of it's own. Are there any other sites were I can search just for 8x8 layouts?

They are all 8 x 8 and the cruise ones I have printed and put into a Pioneer 8 x 8 album. I really love digital and I am seriously thinking of doing our WDW/DCL October 2005 trip all digitally in an 8 x 8.

The magazine Simple Scrapbooks has a book out called Simple Schemes (I think) that has a lot of layout ideas for 8x8 pages. I generally only use them for gift albums, not everyday stuff. Good luck!

looks like you've got a good thing going on there with that 8x8 book. I'd like to see it when you get it finished. Thanks so much for posting Lori's book. I have actually seen that before on two peas and o my goodness just LOVE it. I've read her whole story and it has made me tear up a time or two. It's just amazing. Does Lori post on this site? I am curious to know if she was able to fit all those layout in one book. I think there were around 40 layouts. I would think they would all fit in an 8x8 book, do you?

I have been a huge fan of your layouts (even since you had your old homepage) Love your paper layout and now your new digital ones. What program do you use to make your digi layouts? Do you then print them from your home printer and then just slide them into the sleeves of your 8x8 album? Boy that would take a lot of ink.

You're right, these 8x8 albums are great for gift books, like the one Lori on two peas made. You don't see many people who use them as their main scrapbook. I hope I can pull it off!

ok, i have been emailing lori back and forth for a few years now...and yes, they are all in one album, i think she used the sandylion vintage mickey album with some extra page protectors. they normally come with 10 pp's, so she just bought another pack and put those in. lori is an amazing scrapper and has also been published a few times...once in becky higgins first sketch book...there is another one coming out in the next couple of months.

thanks for the compliments on my book...i am finding that i like doing the smaller books...they are fun...not that i do them any faster, but others seem to. hopefully i can get some done this weekend at the crop that i am going to.
