cont'd
next was Italy
we stopped at the kidcot stations in each country along the way. Sometimes that's all we did. Neither my dad nor Eric were really into World Showcase, mix that with the heat and you have a couple of grumps!
Finally we arrived
We ate dinner here in the nice a/c. I had a hot dog I believe. After supper we decided to watch the American Adventure show. We enjoy the show and figured that Madeline would fall asleep for another nap. We made it just in time for the next show. We all enjoyed it, even Madeline. Yep she stayed awake the ENTIRE time. I have a strange child! During the show I felt something very warm on my leg. Madeline was sitting on my lap. I couldn't do anything but laugh. Luckily I had another outfit along for her, but unfortunately not for me! Oh well my pants dried quick. lol
After the trip to the bathroom we stopped here
Then on to Morocco
and France.
I sent Eric to get me a Grey Goose Slush. I sure needed it by now! While we were waiting I saw a photopass photog by the fountain. When Eric returned with my drink (pretty much melted by the time he got it to me UGH!) we posed for pics WITHOUT the drink. I guess if you have a drink in the picture they delete it.
not the greatest but whatever.
We didn't even stop here for the kidcot station. My dad had had enough and declared Madeline done with that. I wasn't going to argue since I wanted it more for me anyway.
We stopped on the bridge for more pictures
Then headed into England. I was on a mission to get my MIL a teapot or tea or something for her collection. I ended up getting a really cute Alice in wonder teapot. I might have to keep it for myself.
I guess this next one is Canada. I wouldn't really know since that's about as much as I saw of it.
I think it was about 7:30 or so maybe a little earlier. My dad said that he wanted to get a place for Illuminations. Okay. So I left them to do whatever and ran to the front of the park to pick up our free picture from earlier.
After getting back to the family I put the camera away for the night. They found a bench outside of the gift shop to sit on. A bench that was no where near the lake/pond whatever you want to call it. No one wanted to move. We debated for a while whether to ever stay for it. In the end it was decided that no one wanted to come back another night so it was now or never. We stayed. It would have been better of to do never. We couldn't see a darn thing! Madeline was able to see some fireworks but none of the lazers or dancing water.
We ended up leaving before the show was even over. I was pretty disappointed. This was when I started thinking about another trip this year with just us. It was just too much work to try to make everyone happy. What would Eric think about my idea?
