Eric's head looks GIGANTIC in that one.

As I was saying Madeline fell asleep in Spaceship Earth. I went to check the time for the Visa Character meet n greet. Came out and thought we were going to leave but Eric was like "that would be stupid" Sooooooooo we stayed.
DSC_1850.jpg

We decided to go to Club Cool and taste some beverages. I tried the Beverly to see what all the fuss was about. YUCK! I'm pretty sure I had tried it before but blocked it out of my mind.

We decided to head toward the butterfly garden

We kind of just hurried through since I wanted Madeline to see it and she was sleeping. We then headed to Mission Space. My mom didn't want to ride so she stayed out with Madeline. My dad and I rode the chicken side and Eric rode the "real" side. They still have barf bags on the chicken side. lol Eric said he was done. He felt a little sick I guess after drinking all that nasty club cool pop!

While we were on Mission Space Madeline woke up (some nap I think it was like 30minutes). It was about time for the Visa meet n greet so we headed over there. The line was super long and the longest wait we had the whole trip. Was it worth it? Well we did get a free picture and it was nice to have the whole room but I think it's really only worth the character interaction if the kids are older and want to have a conversation with them.

We then headed for World Showcase via the walkway by Imagination.

on the way out we stopped at our first kidcot station. Madeline enjoyed coloring the mask with heavy supervision (sharpies really, come on Disney!)

Fantastic pictures! I love the ones with Madeline hugging Mickey and Pluto - just adorable :goodvibes

I didn't even know there was a butterfly garden - it looks gorgeous!

Next was Norway. (I hope that's right, lol)
DSC_1943.jpg

We stopped here for a little snack I believe. Eric wanted a cookie so of course Madeline got one too.

Now comes your pictorial of WS. I honestly dont' recall what countries these are so hopefully you all know.

China(I think)

Gorgeous flowers... the festival is so pretty! I love the topiaries!

Madeline looks like she's having fun on those drums!

Snow White asking how old she is... how adorable!! :cutie:

next was Italy

we stopped at the kidcot stations in each country along the way. Sometimes that's all we did. Neither my dad nor Eric were really into World Showcase, mix that with the heat and you have a couple of grumps!

Finally we arrived
DSC_2015.jpg

We ate dinner here in the nice a/c. I had a hot dog I believe. After supper we decided to watch the American Adventure show. We enjoy the show and figured that Madeline would fall asleep for another nap. We made it just in time for the next show. We all enjoyed it, even Madeline. Yep she stayed awake the ENTIRE time. I have a strange child! During the show I felt something very warm on my leg. Madeline was sitting on my lap. I couldn't do anything but laugh. Luckily I had another outfit along for her, but unfortunately not for me! Oh well my pants dried quick. lol

After the trip to the bathroom we stopped here

Then on to Morocco

and France.
DSC_2034.jpg

I sent Eric to get me a Grey Goose Slush. I sure needed it by now! While we were waiting I saw a photopass photog by the fountain. When Eric returned with my drink (pretty much melted by the time he got it to me UGH!) we posed for pics WITHOUT the drink. I guess if you have a drink in the picture they delete it.

not the greatest but whatever.

We didn't even stop here for the kidcot station. My dad had had enough and declared Madeline done with that. I wasn't going to argue since I wanted it more for me anyway.

We stopped on the bridge for more pictures

Then headed into England. I was on a mission to get my MIL a teapot or tea or something for her collection. I ended up getting a really cute Alice in wonder teapot. I might have to keep it for myself.
DSC_2035.jpg

I guess this next one is Canada. I wouldn't really know since that's about as much as I saw of it.

DSC_2042.jpg

I think it was about 7:30 or so maybe a little earlier. My dad said that he wanted to get a place for Illuminations. Okay. So I left them to do whatever and ran to the front of the park to pick up our free picture from earlier.

After getting back to the family I put the camera away for the night. They found a bench outside of the gift shop to sit on. A bench that was no where near the lake/pond whatever you want to call it. No one wanted to move. We debated for a while whether to ever stay for it. In the end it was decided that no one wanted to come back another night so it was now or never. We stayed. It would have been better of to do never. We couldn't see a darn thing! Madeline was able to see some fireworks but none of the lazers or dancing water.

We ended up leaving before the show was even over. I was pretty disappointed. This was when I started thinking about another trip this year with just us. It was just too much work to try to make everyone happy. What would Eric think about my idea?

Yep, that's the Canada pavilion. That pavilion annoys me. Lumberjacks and totem poles - not even close!

I'm sorry you weren't able to see the fireworks

I can't tell you how much we're looking forward to this trip - just the four of us! I hope Eric likes your idea! :wizard:

Great day at Epcot!! I know the Kidcot stations are sponsered by Sharpie, but come on! Emily got Sharpie on her dress and there is no way to get that out! I was/am so bummed because it was one of my favorite dresses and that was the 1st time she had worn it. Ugh!:headache: Can't Crayola be the sponser!!! At least those are washable!

I think you definitely need to experience Disney as the 3 of you. There are too many opinions when you add more family. I think the only way an extended family vacation works is if you stay on property and the party that wants to leave, can!:rotfl:

Wonderful pics and update! Love all the flowers. Butterfly garden looks neat. I love the pic of Madeline with her hand in Pluto's mouth. Too cute! :cutie:
I keep going back and forth whether I should bring a big stroller or an umbrella stroller to the parks. The umbrella one is light and easy to fold up but the big one holds so much more. Hmmmm. :scratchin

you guys are going to have SO much fun! The butterfly garden is just for the flower and garden festival so will be gone soon.

I was so worried Madeline would get sharpie on her. I mean all of the clothes we brought were brand new since it was still cold here when we left.

I can't wait til October. I'm looking forward to a more laid back time. Who knows maybe we'll spend the whole time at the Magic Kingdom??

hmm that's a tough one. If you think your daughter will fall asleep at all I'd bring the regular stroller. I think it'd be much more comfortable for her. Now if she were 2 instead of 1 I'd say umbrella but you have so much more stuff to carry around with a 1 year old then 2 year old.

Thanks! I'll put our October trip details at the end of this trip report! When are you going to start your PTR?

I don't know, lol. When you finish your next trip report, maybe? Just kidding! Probably the beginning of October. :lovestruc

I love all the pictures of the flowers. The giraffe picture I had to look at twice, they almost real looking. Looks like it was a very, very pretty time of year to go. I can't wait to hear about the rest of your trip!
