who to talk to about room ressie?

Hi everyone,

I figured you all might be able to help me find the right channels to talk to Disney. DH and I went to WDW last week and ended up booking at POR Sept 14-19th. I booked room only reservation as we did park tickets separately. I am currently 7mos pregnant and on the 18th had some complications and talked to our OB and she said to come home. We called the airline and changed our tickets and went to leave. We called the front desk and they said okay to leave early just to come down an check out. When we did so they told us that since we prepaid our stay that we would not get our money back for the last night because we didnt purchase travel insurance on our package. As far as I knew, we didnt purchase a package just the room. At the time, we didnt have time to talk much as we had to get to the airport but they told us to call Disney Travel Company. Now that we are home, and things are okay with the baby, we need to see if we can get this taken care of. Any ideas on the best way to do this OR are we out the last night because of not purchasing travel insurance? We have had an uneventful pregnancy and our OB okayed us to go so we didnt expect any problems. Any info or thoughts would be greatly appreciated--I know you all are the best source for Disney info!

All in all, we had a wonderful trip and all the tips I got off this site was perfect! Thanks to you all for that!

Did you book direct with Disney CRO, or did you book with a travel agent or Walt Disney Travel Company??

There are such things as ROOM ONLY packages. For example Expedia has room only packages that must be paid in full in advance.

If you paid one night deposit direct to Disney, then paid the rest when you arrived, then you ARE due a refund of that last night.

If you booked any other way, then no, you are not due a refund.
